When did you start playing your first DMC?

I was wondering when you guys started playing DMC. Is it too late to get DMC 1? I have DMC3 and 4 but I want to get DMC1. Is it worth getting? Or is it too late for me I am 15.

Not really.Grab a copy of DMC1 while you can.As you are under age,you may need a parental guidance.:)

I started playing DMC in 2001,where DMC first came out.Ironically,that game is my first PS2 game ever.:)
 
I have 1-3...yes i have 2.
i start playing when i was like 19 and half i think...
when i bought 1 and 2 the guy at gamestop actually asked for my ID. whereas when i bought dmc 3 se, (at another store, that isnt a chain) he didnt ask for my idea, i think cause the guy knew me.

I actually played DMC 1 when it first came out. I had just gotten a PlayStation 2, and rented Resident Evil: CODE Veronica X. Well, this was the 5th anniversary edition of the game, so it came with a little demo for Devil May Cry. I played the demo, then decided that I must own that game immediately. :)
 
I got mine in 2004, I saw a trailer for 3 and thought it looked cool. And I soon saw the first so I bought it ^_^.
 
My brother came home with a magazine one day back in '01 (I can't remember what magazine it was) but it had a demo of DMC1, we played the demo (part of it had bits of Nelo Angelo goodness). And both of us were all like, "ZOMG, BADASSERY AHOY!" And I've been completely addicted to Dante...I mean DMC ever since :3
 
I was introduced to DMC2 by a friend in late 2002.
I went and bought the first one and then the second one.
then the third one.
then the fourth.
and soon the fifth one.
 
Well i started playing DMC when a friend of mine got the first DMC game. and then DMC 2 came when another friend of mine got the first one. I then got to be interested in the francise and decided to buy DMC3. I was afraid that i'd be losing but got better and started to like it.
 
Back in 2001, a friend of mine, which had recently bought a PlayStation 2, had got the game and was playing It. What amazed me the most, was that this guy's name was Dante, just like my name, and It absorbed me.

I lost interest during the 2002-2005 period, due to other games being released and such, and when Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening came along, I got stuck in Devil May Cry.;)
 
well as i said before i was 19 or 20 and my bf at the time was obessed...and his ps2 was broken so he would come over all the time with the games and play them at my house...and he got me obessed with them...and i have been playing them ever since....
And i found that when i was playing them after we broke up...i took all my anger and frustration at him for breaking my heart...out when playing dmc.
So ladies...on this site...when you go through a break up...I recommend Chocolate....and an excess of DMC...
 
I am a newbie, got 1-4 mid. May. Begin playing around June. So far I've gone through most of 4, half of 3, attempted 1 (not successful due to entirely different control from 3&4), not yet tried 2 since all I heard is bad things about this sequel.

Oh, am a grad. student btw.

kinda agree with Trish - though, if anyone's going thru a breakup WHILE playing DMCs, you may wanna prepare an extra controller or TV. who knows? maybe you got too excited/frustrated that you start throwing things around (remember what Nero did when he saw his girl taken away? =])
 
Started playing DMC when it first came out in 2001, it was one of my first games on PS2. Have followed the series ever since, buying a PS3 when DMC4 came out.

I can imagine DMC1 would be difficult to purchase these days but eh theres always the internet!
 
I started to play dmc in 2004... My friend let me play the first one, as he recommended it to me :)

I got into the gameplay and the story, and I just loved Dante... Then he let me borrow the second dmc, which I instantly despised for its sheer dullness .lol. I played it all the way through, because it did have some good points... But I believe they rushed into making the second.

Then I got myself dmc3:se, and I ****ing loved it... My fave by far. Then after that I brought both 1 and 2 for myself...
