After seeing the
"I'm more motivated" photoshop, it made me wonder, what COULD have been great throwbacks to the original series. Because in the actual game, we had:
Achievement names that would make no sense to someone new to the series and a slap to the face towards original fans.
But what if Dante said, "Don't talk, just die." to Bob Barbas?
What if during Devil's Daliance, Dante said, "Pop music? Couldn't they have played 'Taste the Blood' or something?"
What if the moment you got a SSSensational combo against a boss, Dante would say "This parties getting crazy!", and that line would be voiced by Reuben Langdon, similar to how Frank West's FANTASTIC, was voiced by a different person in the original Dead Rising.
OPINION TIME!
In the end, Capcom literally showed they didn't care about the original fanbase. They cared about our wallets. Despite this being a SSStylish game, and Ninja Theory's grand achievement, NT could have at least shown respect for the franchise they were rebooting, and invited Reuben Langdon, Drew Coombs, and Matthew Kaminsky for their respected cameos.
Capcom didn't care about the fanbase, and NT thought their Dante was better. These were the 2 factors that kept us from getting decent throwbacks and a decent nostalgia factor.
