It is an origin story. It is before Devil May Cry Three. Therefore it ties in with the DMC Universe. So I don't see where you're going with your comments.

And I made some statements about Devil May Cry Four. Statements we all know to be true. I don't see me getting snippy with anything you previously said, prior to the above comments you made.

Illogical, yet you give no reason why. I could say everything you just said was illogical also. And a bit snippy, if I may add.

And how was anything I mentioned flawed? I'm going from facts, and a general understanding of where they are going.

You have a grim and negative look on the future of the Series, so you are bound to disagree with everything anyone else says. At least, if they have some optimism about everything.

LoD. It is a total revision of DMC. It is unrelated to the full story since it is not the same Dante. Sure, he is Dante, but not the Dante from the DMC universe we know. It is a revision, they retell everything, that means that nothing of the DMC series is lore in any way. It is a younger Dante than the one in DMC3 but that doesn't make it a prequel to DMC3 nor has it been said it is a prequel.

In the revision everything is different, what happens after DmC will not be exactly like DMC3, since it's a revision of the series.

To tell others to just accept it and play it or just leave it isn't all that fair in my opinion. Everyone has a right to complain, even though it doesn't "help", it still helps the person.

Woah! DMC5 would be a flop and thus Capcom remade the series? I can't see why so many waited and longed for DMC5 when they all knew it was going to be a flop and they wouldn't buy it. :\

If you show me where it states all of the things you speak, then I will accept this. And then I will perhaps edit what I previously said. Because if that is true, then I feel like an idiot lol

The reboot vs. prequel DMC vs. DmC Dante vs. DINO

All that. I'm not saying this thread is one of those arguments/debates/discussions, but it was starting to look like it. ._.

It's towards myself being stupid. I did not really meant the icons meaning, but rather how it looked like.

Prequel to the revision is still possible. All the interviews and all the stuff like that has given me the impression that it's a revision showing how it would be like before DMC3 but in another universe. Meaning the events of DMC3, DMC, DMC4 and DMC2 wouldn't be the same but could be having familiar terms, characters, items, names, etc.
 
I've heard both prequel and reboot tossed around. I'm still leaning more towards prequel, though. There's proof from Capcom for both arguments. >_<

Why can't it be both? A reboot showing us a prequel of the game but still not the same storyline?
