darkslayer13;273230 said:in the first game. i don't remember if it was the intstruction booklet or the opening cutscene but both of them had something about sparda and one of them said that sparda " reghned in the human world until his death" therefore he had to have died for that line to mean anything. we don't know when or how but he is dead.
LordOfDarkness;273231 said:It just says that he is dead for effect. We can't just assume he died, when they never said how he died. It just said until his death. He is probably presumed dead because he hasn't been around. Maybe he is stuck somewhere? Until they properly explain his story and say how he died, we can assume he is still alive. Whether the introduction said otherwise.
darkslayer13;273233 said:that is not the way things work. it said he is dead so until something says he's alive he is dead.

A Legend such a Sparda, dead? Whereas Mundus, weaker than Sparda, clearly, still manages to keep on living. Not possible. Think about that logically. If you claim Sparda to be dead, surely you should say that Mundus must be dead by now, whereas he isn't.
