What if Sparda was alive? (Theories)

I wouldn't count on Sparda making an appearance in DmC2. If he does, it'll be in DmC3. If the game even makes it that far, LOL.

Yeah. He'll be on 3. Or 4. Its gonna take a while. But I'm sure they'll talk more about him in 2.

Anyone got more ideas on how Sparda can finally show himself and reveal that he is alive? How can he fight alongside his son, Dante, if he can also save Vergil?

Well, DmC already said outright he IS still alive, just in imprisonment for turning on Mundus. So it probably would be covered more in DmC2 if/when they get to that...or at least I HOPE they would. NT might get stonewalled with some Capcom give directive of "reveal nothing concrete on Sparda, it would make him LESS MYSTERIOUS and actually require actual effort put into the character..."

The most Sparda has done is in the comic where he talks to Dante telepathically and gives him the sword, Rebellion and power to fight back when the demons are beating him in prison.
So Sparda could talk to Dante telepathically and reveal where he is hidden, or give him information on the latest demon threat. If he's held in the demon world, he could pass Dante information without them knowing.

I doubt we'll ever get a proper playable Sparda complete with his own story if I'm honest. I think the actual mystery and legendary status of Sparda is bigger than He is.
