What happens to Dante at the end of Devil May Cry 2?

well Dante are going go trought portal and go to hell to kill demons ^^ after he will kill all demons he will go to home and gonna play Devil May Cry 2 ^^

I think, its left open for us to decide. Personally, I think this will be continued later on in the series, with Dante being in hell. Just a hunch though, I could be and probably am, wrong.

Dante went to hell and was evidently gone for a while because the ending scene shows Lucia waiting in his shop where she suddenly exclaims,something like,"He's like Sparda and Sparda came back" Then she runs out,presumably to go meet him.

One thing I like about Capcom and it's games is the simplicity. We have the good guy, the bad guy, a sidekick and a straightforward storyline. It doesn't make you think a lot and so does the ending here. Dante seems to have gone to Hell and he stayed there for some time and he returned, like Sparda. Simple ...

Well you can't say that the storyline is straight and obvious if you played DMC first and first time
