Well.....I played it and finished it.

I'll just get right to the ass kicking.

Last night a friend gifted me DmC on PC and I decided what the hell, I got it free, I'll play it out of curiosity.

I got the Classic Dante skin first so I wouldn't be looking in disgust at my player model the entire game and it helped for the most part, I also grabbed a revealing mod for Kat so I had something to look at while she bored me to death in her scenes.
I started playing on the hardest difficulty available and as I predicted, it was easier than any game I've ever played.

After completing it just now, I say the game was alright for a HnS game, but awfully terrible as a Devil May Cry game and even though Dante looked better with his DMC3 outfit selected, I still didn't like him and I still hate new Vergil.
The level morphing was pretty cool in some levels and I would like to see that kind of morphing system in a future Devil May Cry game, I heard people hated the color coded enemies but I actually liked them because them and those Dreamrunners were the most challenging enemies I faced in the whole game, they were still easy though and the colorful graphics looked stunning on my PC at maxed settings and it ran at a nice 60fps, just like they said the PC version did.

So yeah, I played the game, I did enjoy it as a game, but my opinion on the new direction and new Dante hasn't changed. I still hate that emo prick, I still want Reuben Langdon back behind the mic, I want the classic look back and I want his fun, non relateable, non serious personality back and most importantly, I want the crazy, fast paced and challenging Devil May Cry gameplay back.

I have no interest in trying the Vergil DLC.

We get you hate the new Dante and that's been clear from the start. Also with the thread starting on a negative from a character standpoint. Nothing the game could have done would have made you like the character as its clear you want the old Dante back. So belittling the character with names wasn't really needed. You enjoyed it as a hack and slash game so why not give them kudos for that. Nice to see someone praising the game for things it did right however. It's not DMC as you know it and doesn't apologise for that so little need for the overly negative tone (hate) as we got that from the start. Only going to cause arguments with posts that label people as "Emo Pricks" (which brought my comment here).

Little disclaimer at bottom of post saying your opinion on new Dante & Vergil hadnt changed & still disliked direction new characters had been taken would have sufficed. I think people will find that others respect their opinions a little more if they are a little more respectful in the tone of their posts as not always a need to be so harsh. People may look at the post then & think 'Well thats a fair enough point & he has at least give it a chance.'
