hey i just thought it seemed like an interesting topic.....say mundus gives vergil one last chance out....but he must fight himself(nelo angelo) what do you think will be the outcome?

hmm... thats a very, VERY good question. its a tough call.

vergil has swordsmanship equaled by none, and he's a very powerful half demon. he hasnt yet reached his full potential yet though

on the other hand nelo angelo has reached his full potential, and power from mundus. but, he's not as skilled with a sword...

hmm... i'd say that it it was a sword skill fight, vergil would win, but if it was a brute force fight, nelo angelo would win

I can't really see how Nelo Angelo's sword skills are inferior to Vergil's. I suppose Vergil shows off a bit more in DMC3 than DMC1. And you can't take gameplay into account. In DMC1, during your first fight with him, Dante nearly lost. But then he got lucky. And umm, Nelo felt that swords wasn't the **** so he wanted to smack him right there and then with his big fist

No seriously, Vergil facing his alter form Nelo Angelo, would be... weird. I suppose Nelo would win. His armor is pretty hefty, as is his sword (which he certainly is not clumsy with). Not to mention both teleport, both can conjure Phantom Swords. I'd say Vergil would still beat him, not because of sheer strength or skill, but because of mentality, get me?

Personally, I think it would be too tight to call, but I'd definitely be rooting for Vergil to win.

thanks for the replies and in my opinion i think i'd go with nelo angelo. vergila amazing no doubt but you think about nelos power and its amazing. vergil would have to pull some sweet moves to get him down and i dont think nelo would let that happen. then again it can go the other way....who knows
