Vergil doesnt care about his family?

rocketvergil

Vergil's apprentice, the successor to yamato
From the information we have we know that vergil was adopted by a rich family and he wants to kill demons because they killed his step mom and enslaved step dad.
However his anger doesnt seem to be driven by the death of Sparda and EVA but By that of his foster family.
Furthermore he isn't even wearing his amulet!!
Could it be that he doesn't care about his real family and actually hates Sparda for giving birth to him as a demon?

Well maybe, just maybe, he doesn't give a damn about who his real parents are. He probably doesn't know the story behind them at this point.

But once he gets his hands on the legend of Sparda...oh damn!

Maybe none of them know their parents just like Naruto
and then they slowly get to know about them .

yeah I mean, the picture of their family Dante holds, did Vergil give him that picture or maybe he found it somewhere else.

I could be totally off, but Dante seemed to look at Vergil in the picture more, even swept his hand over it, as if he was comparing the boy in the pic and the man in front of him. Usually if the picture was unfamiliar to Dante, he would be more interested in it how he was back in the days. But hey, if the picture is Vergil's why is it broken? Vergil has the means to keep it in a good shape, why would he choose to let it be broken? Maybe he was the one to break it, deliberately over the father's face? Or then not.

In the pic of Vergil (my avatar pic) he has a chain for a pocket watch in his pocket. maybe its his half of the amulet

Hey, that could be it! Vergil could have his amulet at the end of the chain instead of a necklace.

perhaps the frame itself holds sentimental value and he doesnt want to get rid of it. like one of the only possesions he has that belonged to his parents

It's quite simple. Vergil wants to be better than his father. His father couldn't protect his mother and thus their family was torn apart. It was Sparda's fault they suffered and it's also his blessing that they lived.

Thats one possibility. Dante acts like he doesnt seem to remember his real family at all, and im sure Vergil didnt at one point either. When Vergil reveals himself to Dante, I would like to think that he would be even more sentimental if he actually remembers Dante and their real family. Since he is a computer wiz of sorts and since he is rich as hell, maybe he went searching and that picture is all he found, showing he had a twin brother.

So yea maybe he is angry at his real father. But then again he got to live a good life after the incident so he doesnt really have a reason to hate anyone besides demons. So if he doesnt remember Sparda, how can he be angry with someone he doesnt remember?

Kat ran away from home and I guess Vergil found her while he was building up his organization.

Sweet:) I'm really guessing Bleach anime's Aizen scenario here. Aizen also recruited Hinamori as his vice captain but you know how the plot later twisted! It was all part of the plan *jokergrin*

Any link to this information, cuz I ain't seen ****!

Oh, so Vergil has some malignant hatred for his family? this is news to me....

Vergil: (crunch) , AH! GODDAMNIT BILLY! PICK UP YOUR TOYS!
I'LL SHOVE THIS BROOM UP YOUR ASS SO HARD, IT'LL TURN INTO A SECOND SPINE!!!

yeah. vergil having family issues could be considered a no-brainer.
(It feels good to be back on the forums ^_^)

The amulets could have started as one. Maybe they break, and Vergil takes the other piece?
That is a possibility. It is equally possible that the amulet DmC Dante is wearing has no relevance to this story and just looks like the Perfect Amulet as a minor reference to the original series. (Magical amulets don't really seem to fit the type of story NT is trying to do.)

Oh. Could be. After all, in the 2010 trailer Dante didn't even have the red stone in his necklaces, so it maybe hadn't been planned to be there from the start.
