Trish should be a prostitute in DmC2

(I know that's Erza From fairy Tail but I'm using her as an example as Eva from DmC)

Now before everyone get's their panties in a bunch hear me out here. I think if a DmC2 is made, Trish should be a prostitute.

Why? Well let me explain;

First off, the idea of being a prostitute isn't always how you'd think it is. Not all prostitutes are prostitutes because they want to be. Some prostitutes do this for money, captured, or they have to owe someone something. And then there are some prostitutes who do prostituting in different ways.

Two good examples I can come up with are Sucker Punch and Assassin's Creed 2.

With Sucker Punch, their prostitution was in the form of a dance. Not twerking, or spinning on a pole, but more old school show girls type of prostitution. Though there was still the usual sleeping with a customer, it was more with grace as the women in the dance stuidio had to be talented dancers. There would be beautiful shows, plays, and titillation for the customers like lap dances and all.

In Assassin's Creed 2, prostitution is virtually the same, however there's a more graceful beauty to it from their buildings to how they present themselves. In the Venice level, Teodora owns a brothel that does institute prostitution, however it's also a church. She explains that she practices her faith by giving comfort and support to those in need (in this case men who has seen too much suffering and need a form of comfort and something to believe in) and practices her faith in God like this.

So, there are a number of ways that Trish could be a prostitute, but still hold her own form of respect.

Now as to why Trish being a prostitute would be interesting for DmC2;

If we remember correctly, the women that Dante slept with in the past all had something to do with angels. But ever since he learned of his background and his mother being an angel, he hasn't felt the same. Evidence of this is in mission 13 of DmC when an angel girl came up to Dante and flirted with him. Now there could be two reasons why he brushed her off; he either wanted to get Lilith to save Kat quickly, or could it also be because of his mother being an angel and him finding it a little degrading that angels are depicted as whores because of the whole "Eva is a whore" idea.

Which brings me to another reason why Trish being a prostitute;
It would be ironic.

The constant talk of Eva being a whore because she bared children with Sparda has been talked of and referenced all through out the game. And then in DmC2, Dante discovers a woman who looks exactly like his mother...in a brothel, or strip club. This would not only put Dante on edge as to why she looks like his mother, but also make him take care of her from showing herself off like that.

So that's all I have to say. Considering its a reboot, it's not like it'll affect that natural order of DMC 1-4, and besides, she doesn't have to be the stereotypical prostitute.

I'd rather see her as an agent. like Nina Williams.. but probably an agent in disguise.. and disguised as a prostitute maybe like the Russian chick in the xXx movie

If we have to suffer another DmC I don't wanna see her in the game at all.

But putting my hatred for DmC aside for now, an idea I'd rather see is for her to sort of be put in the place of original Dante, as where Trish is in fact the Half Demon, Half Human Mercenary that original Dante was since Donte is Half Demon & Half Angel, so it would be cool to see Trish as the anti-heroine of DmC, the character in the DmC canon who hates and hunts demons and angels and to reference Bane in Batman, can "break" Donte and end up pushing him to train and become a stronger and better fighter.
She's not the villain of game, but more or less a powerful rival for Donte.

That kind of Trish and story would make me want to check out a DmC2.

Well I dont think the strippers with angel wings were actual angels but just human strippers dressed up as angels but that would be an interesting way to go.

maybe they were former angels stripped of their angelhood and reborn as human strippers.

Granted if you use that to bring in Trish, she would be about thirteen human years:facepalm:. So thats all i got from this topic.

thing is unless you bring in the fact that she was made to look like Eva, you might as well make a new character.

I don't think I want Trish's character to go down the toilet any more than she did in DMC4. I don't think I could stomach her being in that kind of position where she's paid to have sex with guys that she doesn't even like. I don't want Trish blowing or screwing guys whether it's for money or any other reason.
Prostitution is not as glamorous as games and TV make out and a lot of women do not do it because they want to. Either way you slice it, dress it up with dance, altruism, spirituality or legality, women still get hurt, degraded and killed doing that kind of thing.

I'd feel the same if they had made the rebooted Dante work as a gigolo or rent boy. It's just unnecessary and cheapens the character. Honestly though, considering the stuff Dante was said to do to survive in DmC, I guess he could have done that kind of stuff as well to survive...who knows. That sort of thing just doesn't sit well with me for males or females.

But, if we're going down that road, Trish might as well have been rebooted as Lilith considering DMC1 Trish and Lilith's link to Mundus, and the fact that Lilith is nothing more than a whore herself....and even she was only having sex with Mundus. So, that would mean Lilith has more sense than a hypothetical DmC2 Trish sleeping with loads of strangers. That I do not want to see. :facepalm: Lilith was bad enough and I don't want Trish on her level.

If there is going to be a DmC2, I'd prefer a rebooted Trish to be more like DMC1. I just don't want any more characters messed with to beyond recognition.

It is a fact. Have you ever heard of sex trafficking and abduction? That's proof enough that women do it unwillingly. They are girls with no money, lied to about a job, then it is too late and they are trapped in a brothel or dingy house, kept like a prisoner. They beat the women to make them stay and lock them up in rooms.
Even the women in the Red Light district of Amsterdam...they don't all do it because they like it. Some do it because they have no choice financially. Maybe they have family to support? It's not all about buying designer goods and materialism.
They hate themselves for doing it. Just because it's legalised there does not mean that women don't end up beaten or dead. It also doesn't mean that women do it because they want to. Sometimes it is necessity that forces them into that position.

The people you describe... they do it willingly, but they are doing it from a position of self hate. They also do not represent all people doing that kind of thing.
Do you really think they like doing it? Money is no substitute for self esteem and real love. You're just proving my point. Only people who have been damaged in some way, be it emotionally or mentally; people who have no other skills, be it academic or whatever, do that kind of thing out of a position of low self esteem and perceived lack of opportunity. They don't want to do it, but they have to because they see no other option.

Yes, there are people who do it for the money to buy expensive things, but they pay the price with their self worth, mental state and sometimes their lives.
More often than not, it's people who are damaged, people who have no choice or people who are abducted and forced into it.

i know the "not so glamorous" side of it. i've seen it first hand. its not pretty. and videogames and movies do make it look "prettier". but its not good at all. but some of these people KNEW what they were getting into. and for them i have no sympathy because its what they wanted. for the girls who were too blind to see the writing on the wall, i do feel sorry for. but you can't do anything because these dudes own businesses and firms and what not. smoe of their biggest customers are lawyers and congressmen. its not a good thing, but its a real thing. and now in todays entertainment business, reality sells

i once saw a Mexican film where a young woman, daughter of a general, was secretly prostituting herself despite the lack of need. It was never explain why she did it, if she liked the 'd, hated her dad, boredom, or whatever, the story never thought that her actions needed explanation. She was most definitely not doing it against her will.

The idea of making Trish a prostitute doesn't seem to me like a wise move. With the reputation the game has gain it would never be seen as a profound choice, it be brushed off as nothing more than more puerile juvenilism.

Maybe as a Madame of a brothel but not necessarily a prostitute herself. Though I'd prefer staying away from the juvenile shock value tricks DmC kept slapping me in the face with every now and then. That gets old (to me) quick.
