Well, Ninja Theory are really doing their job. I see that the graphics seems better than before.

watch this trailer for the first mission, which came out 9 months ago

And now. Watch this trailer for the final build

At 0:24 in the 1st video, The graphics were really bad (Look at Dante's back)
Now at 0:50 in the 2nd video (the final build) It's much better.

And even more, They change the lines. In the first video Dante says "You pick the bad day for a hangover!" Now it's "Bad day for a hangover!".

It's really nice to see Ninja Theory works a lot on DmC. The graphics and some of Dante's lines changed, And all of these changes in about 9 months :).

The Pizza slices blew my balls off so I had to attach them back on just so they can blown off again. Good job NT on them Pizza slices!

I like changes too. You don't often see a game progress like this.

I made these some months ago, guess a better place than any to show them. They're from the Underwatch demo and the progression of it up until the demo's release, but it mostly just the models. I meant to do more on the backgrounds but I've yet to get round to it :3 you can still notices the changes in these though.

Dante looks younger in the earlier ones, you think? Loses the second necklace too.

Kat went through quite some changes o.o I think the scooter behind her is alive.

Keep an eye on the buildings, they change.

Deleted Lines (note: this is only for the first part of the demo)
*After Dante says he's been pulled into Limbo*
Kat: The demons are on to us.
(Final Version)
Kat: What...? How?

*Camera cutscene*
Kat: That camera spotted you, they must've been looking out for you!
(Final version, she sounds more frantic and says 'The camera' instead of 'That camera'.)

*After defeating first waves of demons*
Kat: Dante, you ok?
Dante: Yeah, I'm fine.
Kat: You need to kill that camera.
(Final Version)
Dante: *addressing camera* I'm gonna get up there and rip you apart.

*When Dante takes out the first camera*
Dante: Lights out!
(Final Version)
Dante: Hey, snake-eye!

*When the street collapses in on itself*
Dante: Whoah, never seen that before.
(Final Version)
Dante: Whoah, somebody doesn't want me here.

*Later on in the cutscene*
Kat: I found the other camera locations for this area.
(Final Version)
Kat: Vergil sent me the camera locations for this area.

And just in case you were interested:
DmC Jap Stage
DmC The Fight
DmC Captivate
E3 Demo
GamesCom
Final Demo

I'd take a look at them, just to see how the combat has changed over the course of development as well and the platforming (Before you didn't even pull the ledges out.)

Hah. They even had a slow-mo moment for every kill. I'm glad they decided to make that as something to warn you that the fight is completely over instead.
There are also a couple of moves omitted in the demo, even tho they look like Eryx' stomp and such.

This is a pretty cool topic. I'm really interested in how games go from testing to the final product in terms of the changes in models, the textures and lighting effects. You can really see a difference with how DmC started out and how it looks now, especially with the models of Kat.

I agree, that's the first time that I've seen so many differences between the first stuff and final product. :)

They were really having a work in progress. XD

Flippin' good job on those posts Alittleacorn

Here's what I found....

Dante first set:
(TF2011) No second necklack
(TF2011) Sword on back present here yet removed from the other games
(TF2011) Necklace and has more "squared/polygon" look to them and have no texture
(JS/TF2011) Different background. Takes place in the Gothic style town with no electronic advert behind him.
(JS/TF2011) Different facial expression and face structure. Looks much younger
(JS/TF2011) Jacket has a less leather look to it (due to no textures).

Dante second set:
(JS2011) No corrupt Limbo
(JS2011) The only picture where Dante has two necklaces visible
(JS2011) Different facial expression
(TF2011) Takes place in a different location. There are chimney pots behind Dante but not present at any other event.
(JS/TF2011) Dante looking at the viewer
(JS/TF2011) Hair modeled differently (the flicks on the fringe)
(C/E3/FD2012) Dante looking at the destroyed barrier. More lighting, additional texture detail and slight facial movement

Kat set:
(JS2011) "Smoky" Kat no moped in the back
(TF2011) More visible/human looking Kat
(JS/TF2011) Dante out of shot
(JS/TF2011/C2012) Dante in shot but Kat and ground is blurred
(E32012) Kat more visibly seen as someone from as human and is wearing too much makeup with a black hood
(E32012) Moped had high level of texture with possibly early "creeping Limbo" effects on the floor (or just water).
(GC2012) I think that the early Limbo effects are consuming the bike
(FD) Limbo effects now have a vine like look. Wrapping around the moped.

Environment set:
(JS2011) Red outer Limbo(in the pit)
(JS/TF2011) Takes place next to garage doors
(TF2011) Clouded Limbo
(C2012) Lens flare like frikkin Jesus himself is descending into the background in awe.
(E32012) Kat has a much richer coloured hoodie.

Here's some more:

Vergil watching from the shadows instead.

Haaaaat!

tumblr_mfb03hNm3H1ryfipvo2_1280.jpg

Again a change of lighting, and Vergil gets more Dell computers.

tumblr_mfb08bsBhd1ryfipvo1_1280.jpg

Hm...I kind of liked the original.

tumblr_mfb08bsBhd1ryfipvo2_1280.jpg

Dante falls differently. Maybe they changed it because of physics?

tumblr_mfb0ciMir11ryfipvo1_1280.jpg

Kat your face keeps changing gurl.

tumblr_mfb0ciMir11ryfipvo2_1280.jpg

I like they changed it to an egg-timer as Dante joked. Like the magic paint being in an spray-can, sticks with having super natural things in seemingly ordinary objects.

All from these videos.

Kat's model changed from the Vergil trailer because it was an inconsistency. When she's in Limbo, she's only partially there, just peering into it. She has no physical contact with what's inside, but can still be harmed. It's kind of cool.
