Who called?:p
My name, comes fron the Devil May Cry novel as stated above. Dante used that name to escape the Sparda legacy when he was young.
Also in Ebony you can see the letters "For Tony Redgrave By .45 Art Warks"
Probably as a memento or something since the story wasn't able to blend with the games^_^

Zeke Axel

Proof of Existence
Well actually, he was supposed to be called Tony Redgrave in the Original DMC.
But later they decided to change the name to Dante.
But the name still remains on Ebony for that reason.

And in the novel it's more of an easter egg.

hamshanks

Apprentice of Doom
they were originally going to use him as a character in a resident evil game, as devil kid was pondering, but figured this was the better choice. and ohh boy was it a better choice!

Gun for Hire
Is there any explanation to why the same inscription (For TONY REDGRAVE/ By .45 ART WARKS) is on Luce & Ombra ?

It is just for reference purposes as far as we know now, but future knowledge could make things different. Anyway the thread is locked as it's really old.
