Tales of Arise is the long awaited next entry in the Tales franchise and was just leaked ahead of its supposed announcement at Microsoft's E3 conference.

I quite enjoyed Berseria actually, but I'd like it to go back to a more versperia esque style.

Graphically it got a huge improvement. I hope it ends up being a fun game. Also Ufotable animating is always a plus.

Tales Of Arise Is A Reinvention Of The Series, But Not Open World

The newest game in the Tales of series looks like a big departure, but it is not abandoning its identity.

it seems most of the core gameplay will be intact, so I'm a little less worried about the possibiliy of no multiplayer/coop

I'm currently starting Tales of Vesperia on the PS4 and this game has a totally different feel and atmosphere from all the other Tales games I've played. It reminds me a bit of Xillia with the whole two worlds so close to each other, which was also a thing in FFXIII, one very hated game I personally thought was F'ng amazeballs. I'll probably buy the game once it drops below $40. I paid $25 for Vesperia so I've never been one for full price on a Tales game, even if I do play a lot of them.

Yeah, I wasn't happy with Berseria, either. While one was on the disjointed side the other was overly edgy and the characters were just getting on my nerves. The anime for Zestiria was so much better than the game I kinda wish I'd seen a Berseria one.

I like edgy, but I mean, I don't play RPG's for crazy over-the-top nature. My perfect RPG is something like Xenogears or FF7 or Ateiler Iris.
