Meg127 is pretty much considered as a mule in this case. Carries all the stuff for our needs but not doing all too much when it comes to combat.

So in other words I'm Hope in this situation and you're Sazh.

Hope is the main contributor in combat, with healing and support (I think that is what you meant). But his magical skills with ravager is really high, he does much offensively in combat, throughout the whole game.
