There it is, our first look at Pennywise in the remake of it.

Granted, I love Tim Curry, but this is a thing that needed to be remade because the original miniseries sucks. It should stick more closely to the book this time around.

So yea, I welcome this remake. This story totally should get a good adaption.

Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise? Ok, first failure. I'm not saying that he isn't a good actor (also if I haven't seen any him movies ) but is too young to play the Pennywise's role.
Pennywise of Tim Curry was perfect : creepy, depth interpretation of the role, madness and mostly Tim was old enough to give that sense of " pedophilia " when attracted children that completed the character.
What will Bill do? A teen Pennywise? When all was begin?

the amount of hollywood creativity brings tear of joy to my eyes. Lets make ANOTHER remake. Like is everything SK has to offer as movie material.

Nothing is truly original anymore. We just gotta deal with it. While I'm also tired of the number of remakes that are on the horizon, I'm not against this one because the original film sucked.

They could actually make it good this time.

In these last years are trendy making remake. Examples are Fantastic 4 , Ghostbuster, another movie on frankestein...

I don't think its "trendy" I think that hollywood is on verge of complete creative bankruptcy and just unable to come up with anything new or decent anymore.

The film industry unable to come up with new ideas anymore? Wow. I would have never guessed. :meh:

If old monster movies are getting remade, A Creature From The Black Lagoon remake from Guillermo Del Toro please.

Well, I mind "trendy" not as "Everyone make remake" , but as "I don't know what make... Oh , will we produce a remake?" exactly as you said; there are no idea at hollywood. There are also some new film never seen before, but truly few.

Excuse-me , my error. I mind trendy as thought Insomouth.
And I don't think that all remake sucks, but only a little part of them. Other good movies better of original ( I didn't see already "A creatutre from the black lagoon" but I will see it soon ) are many ; examples are Batman of Nolan ( if we considered "original" the previous movies on Batman) , Vanilla sky ( but of few ) , and maybe King Kong.

I'm with you on that friend. I can understand being annoyed at the number of remakes out there, but I still don't condemn them because some remakes have been great.
