Officially called Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness, the game is being developed by Tri-Ace and published by Square Enix.

Set on an uncivilized planet called Fakelead, 6,000 light years away from Earth, the battle system will be seamless and take place in real-time.

so you gonna play DMC4 on pc when it comes out? i'm missing JRPGs btw, and had some fun and complicated moments with star ocean til the end of time, lol, got lost in the game and then the dvd broke.. sure wish it'll come to PC, hope square enix won't mind that

I don't know. While I won't get a PS4 right away, I'll probably end up getting one eventually.

RPG are always a great timesink. Too bad there aren't many around these days that I'm interested in.

The third game almost ruined the entire franchise for me, so I'm a little wary that this takes places afterwards. I despise retcons, but all the same....I can't tell if it's worse to acknowledge the events of 3 either. I'll be on the lookout for sure, though.

Now for the battle system, I know it's a temporary UI, but I noticed the lack of short/long distance indicators, so I'm curious on whether they're revamping the combat system a bit.
