Sparda's family.

Did Sparda come from a strong demonic family background? I was wondering this because if Sparda had a brother or a sister, and if Sparda got his strength from his father * which we dont know *, then perhap Dante has other unknown relatives.

Unfortunately the only things we know about Sparda are the prelude to all DMCs. And in each DMC we learn something more.
DMC1 - Turns out that the demon emperor was Mundus. And the key to the demon world is Eva's amulet.
DMC2 - Sparda supposedly fought alongside humans to protect that island.
DMC3 - Sparda sacrificed his own demon blood and a human priestess to seal not only the underworld but his own demonic powers along with Force Edge as well.
DMC4 - Supposedly Sparda served as the feudal lord of Fortuna long ago. Probably guarding the city from demons. And maybe he was the one who sealed the original Hell Gate with Yamato.

So in a sense all we know about him are AFTER he defeated Mundus. Which makes him even more hard to imagine or understand.
