Still the game seems to reply air combos and I don't want to play a juggling act all the time in a game.

I agree.

I don't want this game to rely so heavily on air battle.

But judging by what NT has been saying, that seems to definitely be the case.

I think the ground combat should be the center of the game (like the previous DMC games) while the air combat should be the 2nd gameplay priority.

I think it will be like a 50/50 not meaning they are taking anything away from the already awesome ground combat but adding enough moves to the air combat to be equal to the ground.

I think 50/50 is being to generous if you ask me.

I think I good balance would be 70 for ground and 30 for air making it 70/30.

I was just trying to get my point across but that does seem like a more reasonable balance im just glad that more the air combat will be upgraded because i just think its awesome so as long as it has more than previous games its a good thing IMO as long as it doesnt become the main focus of combat.

U say that like as if they've reduced ground combat to 5%. Which is not the case. For example Past DMC's had 50 ground moves and 10 aerial moves(for example...) but now DmC is making it 50 ground moves and 50 aerial moves. Does it affect ground combat? no!!! It just adds more moves for more combos/style and flashiness. If you want to stick to gravity, fine!!! If you don't, good!!! Besides without long aerial combos DmC dante would be a disgrace to his angelic heritage:D

I say it how I want to say it...

When did I give you the impression that It is just 5%?

Fact is that I don't know what it is now.

But alot of the videos shown so far suggests that it may be around 50/50 at this point which I pointed out earlier was to generous in my opinion.

And also like I said earlier (and you apparently missed this part) I think I good balance would be 70% for ground and 30% for air. That way the main focus is still the ground combat while the air combat is still a major part of the game instead of the center peace.

I like the focus on air combat, it was what people tried to do before anyway, it was just a lot harder...

Exactly!!!what was the point of doing JC if not to last in air forever. To a good Jump canceller DMC is 30%(if not 20 or even 10%) ground combat & 70%(maybe more) aerial.

I think it is, but i kinda don't think it is.
Is that a JC right after the whip grapple @ 1:05

That move is called "enemy step" it's essential to the jump cancel technique. It is actually the move that resets your move set allowing you to repeat combos and perform a double jump (air hike) without touching the ground.

yea, thats what i meant to write but my edit button disappeared. but yea, its called "enemy step" and there is no confirmation on whether or not it resets your "jump" to be able to "jump cancel"

@ Spardas rejected son
was this the first time you've seen this trailer? if so, "the secret" trailer has a higher level of combat. you should check it out

I have a really good question.

Why is it when someone post up a video comparing game play of the new game to the old they use video of the best players in the world playing when those players never got their hands on this game to prove how much a great player can milk it's max potential? Why not post a normal play-through vid of DMC 3 or 4?

They'll post this...

To prove it's better than this...

When they should be posting this...

I think it's only fair.

well I believe that it's because most people don't have the equipment or the want to post average game-play footage or don't know how to capture gameplay.

^^ i just watched a comparison video and i thought the exact same thing. Not only are they posting videos of the top trustyle competitors but in DmC they haven't even showcased anything besides the standard weapon set. Granted, i do think as of late that past dmc's can be faster because of the 60 fps, its just easier to exploit the frames that way. But its not even a comparison.
If you show official trailers made by capcom and compare it to DmC's, the comparison is rather the same.
DmC

DMC 4

I think it's really funny that someone would say a game is better than the other because of something that they can't even do that a game has and the other, guess what, may also have it! WE DON'T KNOW!!!
