Eeeeeeeh. Early Sam, yeah. After he got back from Hell, he didn't have enough of his puppy-dog look anymore. Although, Cass became a good replacement.
I think the season after he came back from hell might be my favorite. I somehow loved soulless Sam.

Is it just me or does the new Dante's abs look more detailed? I swear they do. He does look better to me than the original.

Plus, that image isn't even in game, the new dante looks that good while playing. But I still like DMC3 dante as well. But graphically DmC is just an incredible looking game.

I had never even compared them before. I still like the original too, but damn NT put a lot into DmC. That's really impressive. I did notice that a lot of the movements in DmC seem more natural than in the original series. Like when the floor moves under Dante, he blocks like a person naturally would. I don't remember seeing anything like that in DMC.

Yeah, the attention to detail is really impressive. If only all third person action games looked and moved this good.

I still remember my old theory that DmC would be an open-world game, and then you'd get seen by cameras or watchers and get pulled into Limbo, so each different area would morph itself with different enemies and traps and stuff. Would've been so cooooool.

Only if the combat didn't suffer, and I think the smaller levels is what allowed such a small team to make them so memorable. Each little combat area is so rich in detail, I think an open world game with such impeccable art design adn combat would be some kind of gaming heaven that we're not ready for. I can't think of many open world games that have the kind of artstyle we're all dreaming for. It's tough to that stuff in open world, a lot of times you get a ton of procedurall generated hills and foliage.

Haha yeah. You're very right about that. It'd be such a large undertaking to both make the city, and then create a living copy of it that moved when the player got close to switches and stuff.
