I think Credo has explained it all. But then what genre are games like FF then?
JRPG seems like an excuse of an explanation... D:

Don't you just love it when even mods derail threads?
But seriously though, JRPG is a genre all of it's own, it doesn't follow the traditional characteristics of an RPG, hence it then becomes a subcategory of RPG, since it still does allow SOME degree of freedom to do whatever the hell you want, albeit during the meta-game primarily.

Although I always felt the term JRPG was just a huge cop-out, really.

People look up to mods, they should know that they should follow the rules since they are also what closes threads if the rules are disobeyed. Invisible rep-. D:
