IMO trust me this movie will suck big time as an Ironman/Batman clone.

I respect your opinion. but i will disagree with you because there is a big chance that it won't suck.

you know if they covered his mouth and add a glowing tube in his back. he will become a character from Dead Space

But you gotta agree that its just trying to cash in the superhero fad of ironman/batman rather then coming with something unique.

Actually i think everyone has watched Robocop i mean who hasn't ?? its a timeless movie ! it doesn't matter if parents show the kids or not the kids will watch it on cable or internet anyway.

but thats the thing. most gritty sci fi and action movies today erected from robocop and movies like robocop. the girttiness and the science and the vocabulary and the themes. most today come from movies like robocop and others from that era. so its just a clone of itself

Are you freaking kidding me ??? Robocop was NOT a gritty superhero movie and 80's movies were action packed&cheesy but they have nothing in common with the bloated modern cinematography which is exactly the problem with this movie.

Superhero movie fad only came into existence when this movie came >

Yes i know batman came out in 80's but let's just be honest spiderman was the movie which really introduced us to cutting edge CGI effects and revitalized superhero movies considering Batman&robin pretty much killed the fad in the 90's

So let's just clear this again Robocop was never a superhero movie it was about crude humor and social satire with really bloody&cheesy action(and this is not possible to get with a stupid PG13)

And i don't see a single flake of humor in that incredibly generic trailer this guy acknowledges my concerns about generic movies

you're misunderstanding me. i was referring to dark edgy movies like robocop and terminator etc. those layed the groundwork for a lot of superhero and sci-fi movies. i never said it WAS a superhero movie

And you are still wrong terminator and 80's movies are not "Dark&edgy" and they have nothing to do with moderns movies.

Movies like terminator and Robocop are a perfect blend of fantasy, cheesy action and good screenplay.

when i say "dark and edge" i'm referring not just their appearance, but their philosophical and sometimes subliminal meaning. and most of those messages are pretty dark. like robocop and corporate corruption and TDK and its message about how people in this world are all monsters deep down. or even man of steel with its message about ignorace and bigotry

Well they're just underlying messages they've been there since movies were invented or since literature was invented lol

I agree with ROCKMAN X, I don't think this would be good enough to stand on it's own. The only draw is the name sake.
What really kills it for me is that the trailer made it completely obvious that this is just going to be yet another generic superhero movie instead of story about this dystopian future world where everything is super corrupt kinda like a GTA world with a robot who has a human brain.

The remake is bright shiny, organized, in order.
And Robocop looks he should be thanking them for the upgrade.
Exactly it doesn't feel like a tragedy anymore or even remotely sad heck i'd also want to get into an accident and get turned into a cyborg ! that'd be tons of fun.

Robocop wasn't even a cyborg he was just a human brain in a robot more or less because older models like ED209 were too dangerous to give self-awareness.

Robocop represented tortured humanity as he was merely reduced to a a robotic shell with bleak visions of his former self struggling with both his programming and corrupt society.

>This is as shallow as twilight, beauty & the best remake.
Its really really sugarcoated for kids because apparently any possibility for dark humor or social commentary is not going to be there.

>The Remake murphy lost his arm leg & was paralysed, & they gave a suit that lets him move again.
LOL its as tragic as blackbeard losing an arm in a swashbuckling fight

Do you remember how they told him he how without the robot he was just a few chunks on a table.
How they made him tell his wife face-to-face he was just a machine & nothing more.
The feeling from that i don't get from the remake.
The new Robocop actually reminds me of raiden
i'm actually anticipating this movie's robocop to be something like that lol
