Turns out that Grace is the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, who is one of the playable characters in the Outbreak games. But I think a lot of people may have assumed she was actually an older Rosemary Winters.

Don't have any thoughts yet as not a lot was really shown. I am happy to be back in racoon city though and away from the winters family.
i thought Leon might have a similar role to Chris in 7 and 8 but this feels like he'll have a bigger role.

I am. I'd been looking forward to seeing what Alex Wesker was gonna be up to.
The story apparently was going to focus on an older Natalia studying in a university where Rebecca Chambers is employed.

I don't think it will be crap, as such. But this seems to be Capcom being Capcom. Introducing new storylines and adding in a main character or reference to a "forgotten game" to get people asking for a HD update of said game. All the while, previous storylines receive no conclusion.
Yeah. Forget about Billy Coen. Forget about Alex Wesker. Let's just carry on this trend of making up more plotholes to tick off the fans. Yellow Umbrella will be revealed to be replacing Blue Umbrella.
You can kind of tell they're more or less just making up things so each new game can experiment with a different gameplay style.
