But seriosuly, in regard to her as a character, I'm torn between having pity for her and also laughing at her for her stupidity.
She really thought that having a child with Mundus would make him want to be with her. That's pitiable to me. It doesn't work in real life. Having a child doesn't mean the guy will stick around. In the hidden subtitles for DmC, Dante actually says that to Lilith, how Mundus won't want her once he has his child. Then Lilith responds with 'Killing you will me him love me, respect me! Appreciate me! You don't understand what we have.'
She almost sounds like an insecure child there. She'll do anything to get Mundus to like her...and she's deluded herself that she and Mundus actually have something between them when all Mundus cares about is the child.
Plus she was too proud and confident, thinking no one would dare touch her because she was with Mundus and carrying his child. So she hid behind that while she was taunting Dante, thinking he couldn't hurt her.
Then as soon as Dante does put up a fight, and takes out the baby (her only means of denfence) she's instantly agreeing to whatever Dante wants just to save her own skin. She even admits that she's nothing without the child.
Then there's the exchange where she looks like she's about to cry. She's gone from proud and overconfident to this ruined wreck. She's like a shadow of what she was earlier in the game.
So, one one hand, I feel sorry for her thinking doing all that would make Mundus feel something for her, and seeing just how insecure, broken and ruined she became at the end; but on the other hand, she was so stupid to think that being Mundus' mistress would keep her safe, and that Mundus would love her if she did everything for him.
