Someone said that a 'rebuilding database' option may sort out my problems with the DMCHDCollection.

Has anyone ever done this?
And can it be done on a 250GB console?
Thank you

Won't that erase everything on the PS3? What about trophies, save files, DLC?

NOPE! the PS3 database rebuilding will not erase anything.
PS3 database rebuilding will erase all your PSN messages, protected or not.
It will place all photos in one unknown folder.
It will repair or remove all corrupted files on your PS3.
All trophies Friends on list & profiles are safe.
It may take the PS3 database rebuilding awhile to complete but in any case DO NOT STOP THE DATABASE REBUILDING PROCESS WHILE IT'S RUNNING!!!!!

First you say it won't erase anything and then you say it will erase my PSN messages. YOU ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY!
I'm scared.

lol Chill.
PS3 database rebuilding won't erase anything important like trophies Friends on lists, game saves, movies, music, profile data. Your PSN messages will go. And any bad corrupted files will be removed, that's why they say always backup your PS3.
Relax i've had both my PS3s go through it a few times.

I know, I was being melodramatic for the lulz. Dedicated to mrlulz.
Maybe I will try this out too, but it is more the quality )or the LACK of it) of this HD collection that disappoints me.

What issue are you having with The DevilMayCry HD collection Vergil'sBitch ?

The audio is running faster than the videos/cutscenes on DMC1&3.
I've contacted Capcom and they're adamant that the problem is with my ps3.
Someone suggested Rebuilding the database. Tried it... didn't work.

Your DevilMayCry HD collection doesn't work well either ?

I am experiencing some of the things like VB is with the sound not fitting with the images, but it is more the sucky quality of the so-called HD itself that has me disappointed.

apparently there are quite a few people that have got problems.
I've been asking people what tv's they watching it on, what ps3's they're playing it on. The next question is going to be "is your ps3 hooked up to the internet?"

not all hd collections are bad. I think it's because capcom chose a cr*p company.
Trouble is... what's classed as technical issues?

I've heard that there are audio issues with Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. I don't know what sort because I haven't played it myself.

I bought the Jak & Daxter HD collection and that's working amazingly well. Graphics even look HD, albeit a bit blocky due to when it was created, but it is still really good.

The fact that you have to go through all this trouble to run a game tells you that your PS3 copy of DMC HD is bad Veebs. Get your money back deary.
