Has anyone been able to play DmC while using a PS3 controller? Last night I tried to use it through MotioninJoy DS3 tool, but the game crashed everytime it detected the controller (it runs perfectly if I unplug it). Then I tried simply using the controller as a joystick and used Joystick 2 Mouse to bind the buttons to specific keys, but it doesn't work very well since some buttons are by defauly binded to certain keys and cannot be changed.

Has anyone been able to figure out something that works perfectly for a PS3 controller?

Someone on GAF was able to use Motioninjoy + DS3, he said that he enabled the controller on Motioninjoy after the game was already running.

Can't try now, let me know if it works.

Found a solution to PS3 controller crashing PC version of DMC.

Open DS3 Motion Joy and plug in your controller. Instead of Playstation 3 Emulation, hit the XBox360 Emulation button.

Hit enable and run DMC.

This will emulate your ps3 controller as a 360 controller which will prevent the crash. Also, the buttons are still mapped correctly so no need to screw around in the controls screen.

Enjoy.

Thank you! I gave it a try and worked just fine. Really appreciate your help on this!

I use my DS3 but connect with bluetooth and I've never had any issue. After reading this, I tried using it wired and it crashed. I thought this might help someone somehow.
