prt sc on laptop

I have a new compaq laptop and whenever i press the print screen button and paste it into a word document it just pastes the last thing i copied
I'm not completly dumb. It's just this is my first laptop ... Does anyone know how to make it work?

Paste what you print screen'd into Paint, then just wrap a rectangle select box around it, and then copy/paste it into Word, see if that works.

I know how to do that it's just the actual print screen functin wont work.

If its one of those buttons in blue, I think that you need to press the function (fn) button then do it... I hate laptops so I'm not too sure.

nah yu had to go on this snipping tool thing. Bdk helped be find a help site ^_^ I done it now.
