is arkham playable because in dmc3 it shows a picture of arkham with dantes sword like he is playable

Nah, he has that when he goes into the demon world in order to unlock Sparda's power. That is Force Edge you're talking about.
do you have dmc 3 if you do look in the gallery at one of the pics it has arkham in a position that you are in when you play as dante,vergil,or sparda

I know the pick you speak of, but sadly it's just bonus art. There's also a pic of Vergil and Dante doing a rock concert for hell lusts in what looks like Nevan's opera house with Jester as the lead singer. But unfortunately for me that never happend.
