Ok so idk whats up with the videogame world changing cool charrecters into something off of jersey shore.... This is what i think they should do with DMC5 and i dont know if any one else has thought of this or not but heres the scenerio. they should start off where 2 left off. When Lucia runs out to see whos on the motorcycle she finds......NERO not Dante, cause Dante is stuck in hell and all. Nero comes to Devil May cry in search of Dante because some crazy super demon(vergil) is coming to conquer the world (or something less common that im not smart enough to think about) so like the first quarter of the game is either Nero going to break Dante out of hell, or dante trying to break out. Nero could get Yamato stolen by vergil in some part of the game either before the game starts or during the time in the underworld. I think this is a pretty good idea what do you guys think?? WHATEVER THEY DECIDE TO DO PLEASE PLEASE DONT KILL DMC WITH A REBOOT dont fix whats not broken.....

Dante needs this remake, I think. Before he was unstoppable and, quite honestly, predictable. New Dante is more easily defeated and is therefore more believable.

Dante is Dante I am not against them making him less of an unbeatable beast but this a game about a gunsling demon charecter being beleavble means nothing thats the whole point of ficitonal videogames. if you want real go play madden. lets be honest no one wants to play as the same generic charecter that all these new rebooted games are turning to. you cant take a symbplic charecter like the white haired dante and turn him into a normal person thats ridiculous... if you wanna reboot it so drasticly then just make an entirely new game and keep this one on its path. they tried to reboot resident evil and ended up with DMC but kept going with RE and made millions with it because they decided to make it a completly dif game.

Completely agree with that .
Message for thread maker(don´t be offended, just trying to help):
And i think we had dozen of threads same like this. There is a special thread Meg made just for this kind of discussion that is called "Let it out people".
And for that theory you have thread "DMC theories".

This dude is a genius!

If you want something new, create something new. If you don't like the old Dante and who he was, why did you play? The game was definetly not for you if you had that person who was just badass.

If you would've wanted another game, there is still a pretty huge roster out there. Capcom could just tell Ninja Theory to make a new game that is alot like Devil May Cry instead of blow it up and give it something else of a game. The old Dante is a trademark, well known for the series, the story is also known for the series, it's soundtrack, and everything. If you want something else then make something else.

It's like people complaining about Starcraft 2 being just an enhanced version of the first Starcraft. It has a new campaign which follows the story, it has some new stuff that makes the gameplay enhanced, it has new units, and everything.
What bothered them?
"The mechanics were the same, it's the same game"
It's a sequel! That is what you expect from it! >.<

This is the reason why DmC will never be Devil May Cry to me. In my eyes it will be what destroyed Devil May Cry, just another game with it's name, stealing it's trademark.

I don't know why I'm saying this, but I bet that soon many people are going to complain "Why is Mario in the Mario series? Seriously! He is old and outdated! I want to see a refreshment!", "Why is Samus in the Metroid series?", "Why is Sonic in the Sonic series?", "Why is -insert main character name of a game series here- in the -insert game series here-, -insert it's old and outdated-?"

"F" the emo Dante? Haha, absolutely!

I second that hard as hell.

Either way, this is still Dante.. Really?

I know that many people will **** bricks if any of our theories are right. Thats the sad part. I accept him in any form. <3

Hair is not the only problem. The game's atmosphere has nothing to do with devil may cry...

For the love of Dante  no. But I'll give you a pat on the back for being imaginative.... Vergil coming coming back to conquer the world, that's a good one! Though the idea of a game based on Dante trying to break out of hell sounds like a good plan (forgot about the ending of 2.)

Since we've seen no gameplay footage and are basing our entire arguments off of ONE trailer, I think it's safe to say that any assumptions about the atmosphere at this point are invalid..i respect that you have an opinion, but frankly i believe it's absurd to judge it so harshly this early.

Lets be completely honest with each other guys. Most of us hate DmC because of Dante...erm, Dino, and to a lesser degree, Ninja Theory working on it. As GamblingGambitCloud said, "since we've seen no gameplay footage and are basing our entire arguments off of ONE trailer, I think it's safe to say that any assumptions about the atmosphere at this point are invalid." And I agree. I have no freaking clue what the atmosphere is for DmC, but I do know why I hate DmC so far.

**** Dino.

i heard they were using unreal engine for dmc reboot
which is another letdown by ninja theory.

it has framerate issues.
a game like DMC shoul be fast paced
60 fps is a must!!

Well, its a good idea don't get me wrong.

But what you guys don't understand is that this was Capcom's choice. They chose to sign half the rights over to Ninja Theory. So, Capcom still have just enough rights left to watch over the storyline, gameplay, and everything else. Meaning, the game won't suck as bad as you guys might think. If not, then we, the fans, could help Capcom out but handing out our ideas to them. If they let us that is.

I just feel that it is pointless to whine over something that hasn't even hit U.S. stores yet. I guess I'm just too logical and I don't mean to offend you in any way.
