Not necessarily because you could make them look alike but you could explain any discrepancies between looks as them not going thru the same experiences.

For example, Vergil not having Dante's emaciated figure was because he didnt go thru experiments for the past year or so.
Vergil not having Black hair was because he didnt have to die his hair in order to hide from demons.

Where was it confirmed or implied that Dante had to die his hair to hide from demons?

I'm just making the assumption that he did for the example.
but you can use the black hair being his state before he got his demon power as a example to see what i meant.

But they need to make sure that if the bring him in they don't make them look too different and stick with the "twin sibling rivalry" thing otherwise there is no point, you may as well introduce a totally new antagonist.
Like when they gave Snake a mustache in MGS4 to make him look more like Ocelot as newcomers at that point would have no idea that these two people who look pretty much nothing alike are actually supposed to be rival twin brothers.

I agree with you to a point because his rivalry with Dante is a strong point of the story and you are going to have to bring it up again the same way you would have lex luthor as superman's greatest foe or Zod hating superman because of his father.

That doesnt mean that they couldnt resolve the issues as there were several elseworlds that had lex luthor resolve his hate for superman or a recent arc where zod and supes had a respectful relationship.

Since this is a origin story , i do want them to show us dante and vergil actually being brothers and more importantly what led to their fallout.

Albeit I doubt they'll give anything away about other characters, since they were all secretive about it in interviews. If they do bring Vergil back into the story, they'll keep it quiet like they did with Nero. They didn't say much about Nero before the game release, Johnny couldn't even say what his favourite line of Nero's was, so I think the fact that they said Dante is betrayed by someone close to him in DmC, that character will only be revealed to us when the game is released.
I'm hoping they show us a bit more about Dante in the next trailer. What would make me completely fangirl-freak is if they show him with white hair (just so I can have my blonde-Dante fix) but then, if he still has the black hair I'm most likely to still fangirl-freak. Because I'm just so fangirling on Dante.

i hope its both a trailer and a demo.
Dante should be tweaked to look more like hisself and we should be given a reason to care again.
Both sides should know what they are dealing with.
