new weapons revealed in leaked Achievements

darkslayer13

Enma Katana no Kami
The list of achievements that leaked recently includes achievements for finding the various weapons that are aquired during the game. Two of those achievements are for weapons that have not been announced
1.No Talking!: you have acquired Aquila

I am guessing this is the 2nd Angel weapon.
2.You're not going to shoot me: you have acquired Kablooey.

The third gun. (I swear that is really what it says the name is)

If you are curious about the other weapon achievements but don't want to see spoilers (there are definitely spoilers) the other weapon achievements are:
Thing drives me crazy (Osiris)
It's got to stay in the family (Arbiter)
This baby sure can pack a punch (Eryx)
More than just a few sparks (Revenant)

So that leaves us with
1 Human sword:
Rebellion
2 Angel weapons:
Osiris
Aquila
2 Demon weapons:
Arbiter
Eryx
And 3 guns
Ebony and Ivory
Revenant
Kablooey
For a grand total of 8 weapons (less than DMC3 more than DMC4)

I guess that Kabooley weapon ( if it really is a new weapon), should be a grenade laucher or something like Kallina Ann ( from DMC 3).

I gotta say I'm disappointed with the amount of weapons, specially considering how generic both demon weapons are...

At least Aquila doesn't seem to play like Osiris at all... I see I'll be using Rebellion and both Angel Weapons a lot more than Arbiter and Eryx.

Wasn't the game supposed to have the largest number of weapons in the series? 5 mele and 3 fire arms. Someone once told me that they did the math and it should be around 12 weapons. A few shy a full set.

Here's a quick historical note:

Aquila is Latin for "eagle" and the name of a constellation that was named after Zeus'/Jupiter's eagle who delivered thunderbolts to him.

Now, if I'm correct, the reason why they only have 8 weapons instead of the assumed 12 is because the original hypothesis was that each button on the D- Pad corresponded to either a weapon on either mode.So their would be Four Normal weapons, Four Angel weapons, and Four Demon weapons.

It turns out, however, that the way weapons switching is done is that each button corresponds to a specific set of Angel, Demon, or Firearm weapons and, like DMC 3, only two is allowed for the Angel or Demon weapon buttons and three for the Gun button- anymore than that would make you go through weapon cycling which would mess up your flow of gameplay.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting 12 anymore, but at least 3 Angel, 3 Demon, Rebellion and 3 Guns...

Here goes my hope for a fast Demon Weapon... I hate those generic western weapon archetypes :/

It's kinda weird to think that I'll probably use the big ass axe a lot more than the gloves because of how slow and boring they seem to be... Arbiter at least has a couple of fast moves that can be used once in a while during the combo. Problem is: you can't just do this, there are those color-coded enemies that will require you to use weapons you do not like, which would be easily fixed by having at least one fast demon weapon.

Man those achievement names are like a kick in the balls.. reminding me that I won't get DMC5..

Actually that's about equal to DMC4. Dante had 4 melee weapons (if you count dark slayer style) and 3 guns. Nero had 2 weapons, so 8 or 9 weapons total depending how you count them

So this is supposedto be Aquila? Eagle... Doyou throw it?

I don't think this is all of it.
It doesn't have acchievements for beating poison or Barbus so maybe we have hope for another set of weapons.
Eh...I don't get what Aquila is. Is it a throwing star or something?

Then why is there no achievement for beating two of the game's bosses? It seems odd if you ask me.
I'm guessing it's because there is no space for the two bosses in the achivement list. You might get a reward for beating the boss, like a weapon, which comes with a trophy.

Hmmm perhaps. It would just seem weird if they add some achievements for beating certain bosses and none for others.

It seems like there are a few missing boss achivements.

Also has everyone forgot that some weapons YOU'LL HAVE TO FIND YOURSELF?

Like in DMC3?

nooo you found Arbiterso yeah the math seems right i guess but that me being nice about honesty we have been looking at Arbiter's move now we have seen eryx and all it's moves and Osiris awell for years... so what we get one more weapon this game is kinda lacking in the movelist department idk it seems like it will get old fast

I really hope we'll get some weapons for secret missions or something like that...
If I remember correctly Bayonetta had some secret weapons where you did not get achievements for (Rodin for example, never beat him myself so I wouldn't know)
