I really wish the quality was better. From what I can see, that looked like the darkest DmC trailer out so far.

The quality is really bad, and I really wish they had done a movie based on DMC before making one based based on DmC, but I ought to say that this trailer looks pretty good. Seems like this will be a CGI film, which is great imo.

Looks like it--and if we could see the actual quality of the image we could all determine whether or not this looked like a CGI movie or a game trailer.

But the rumor did say that a DmC film trailer would show before the Resident Evil movie. And this video description says that the trailer showed before the Resident Evil movie.

Well I did see it in HD quality, and it did not look like a game trailer. It looked exactly like the CGI Resident Evil movies, and as I've said before the voice actor in the trailer is different, so I'm almost 100% it's a movie trailer.

Astute observations.
Did you see it in theaters, or do you happen to have it in HD? I would really like to see it in HD :D
 
games have cgi trailer all the time remember batman ac noway the game looks like that soo idk what you getting at?
also the production company making the movie would have been shown and capcoms name not ninja thoery the devopers of the Game.
 
Yeah, this is a game trailer, not movie. NT and Capcom aren't making the movie, it's some other people. This is like a perfect replica of DmC, to which I say: this trailer was done by NT... therefore, the game.

It would be rare for a movie to copy something so perfectly like this, being CGI or not. One that comes to mind is Advent Children... but that was done by Square Enix, so it makes sense since they are the same company making the games.

Still, I wouldn't mind it if this was, indeed, the movie trailer. I mean, meh... I would personally prefer playing the game over watching a movie... unless the movie ties in with the game somehow to tell more background or something that actually happened before or after the game, etc... that would be kinda cool.

It doesn't make sense, in my view. That's the first time I've seen a game trailer ( if it's really for the game) being released with movie trailers at the same time. Besides, they didn't even tell the release date, which is odd, considering that every DmC trailer says the release date.

I've tried to look for more info on facebook, twitter, capcom unity and nothing about that trailer. Nothing, nada, zero stuff about that trailer. I asked Tameem on his twitter account. Let's wait.

I remember seeing a trailer for Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles before a movie years ago.
 
Well, they were saying that whatever trailer was going to be shown with RE:Retribution was going to be DMC's movie trailer. And the trailer itself has a few differences with past game trailers... like, for example, Dante wearing his hood all throughout the beginning, or the devil trigger looking more demonic. The camera cut right after the logo was shown so we don't know if they showed either a release date or who was making it.

What bothers me is the logo itself, it looks exactly... identical to the logo of DmC... wouldn't they change the logo to look slightly different so that you don't get the game and movie mixed up? Just saying...
