If they used one bit of this guy, I will go to Capcom offices, and smack them all with a LIVE ELEPHANT that I will be swinging around by the trunk, same goes for Ninja Theory
Make that 2 of us.

I can see people changing the controls for both Angel and Demon modes.

I know I'll press R1 several times in DmC, thinking about the lock on. Now R1 is the evade button.

I'll also keep pressing L1 a lot of times, thinking about DT from previous games, when L1 is another evade button.

So, I bet most of veteran DMC players will be doing this:

Putting both Angel and Demon modes on R1 and R2 buttons. It's going to be easier to make combos with both weapons. The little lock on will help those who still have problems to forget DMC controls and getting used to DmC controls. In fact, they should have put both modes for the R buttons, leaving the evades with the L buttons.

I hope they'll offer that option. Can't wait.

theyll probably let u change the layout like most other games. inverted cameras and what not. anyways, when i played the thing i had most difficulty with was remembering angel weapons were L2. as i had thought that the demon buttons were on the left and angel on the right (as religiously the left hand is evil the right is holy).

but once i got the hang of it i was able to establish some pretty cool combos pretty quickly (but not SSS to my disappointment)

It was confirmed in a Famitsu interview that the control scheme WILL be changeable, so I'm excited to play around with the control scheme myself. I will learn the new control scheme first, but I would like to customize it to see what crazy things I could pull off. :)

Exactly. I had similar problems when I started playing DMC 2. I kept pressing triangle to jump, when triangle was a melee attack and not jump like DMC 1. Afetr playing DMC 2 for a while, when I came back to play DMC 1, I kept pressing X to jump, when the jump button was triangle. It was actually frustrating.

The best control layout would be L1 for DT, R1 and R2 for Angel Power and Demon power. L2 could be a evade button.

I'm not really worried about the camera angles, I'll be ok with these. So, I'm happy to know you got used to the new controls fast. So hopefully I'll be too. :)

I'm glad the controls can be changed, but i'd like to try out the original controls first. I usually shoot with L1 and Dt with Square so i can attack and shoot with both hands. Now with DmC and its holding down both back buttons for possibly a long period of time, i might need to reconfigure. Hopefully the demo will allow the button changing, so i can make whatever changes i need before the release.

Also Bloody palace, secret doors, secrets keys, theres so many secrets!!

If you can map Devil Trigger for one of the shoulder buttons, then I'll do that. I don't need 2 evade buttons.
Agreed. I'll probably put the DT on the R1 button considering I won't ever use the demon evade. However I will use the angel evade all the effin time!

It's sorta funny how so many of the "anti-DmC" people keep saying that Hard Lock is necessary for DMC, when DmC has been shown to work well enough without one, and it'll be interesting to see the reactions to Itsuno himself saying they wanted to get rid of it back in DMC3 (the pinnacle DMC experience) but just didn't know how.
