Hello!

So the first time I played Devil May Cry was actually the release of DMC1. I was young and it was way too hard for me at the time so I had to play the campaign on easy, I did really like it but knew it was kind of out of my reach so I admired it from a far for quite a while. Later in life though after a career change and some lifestyle changes I started playing a lot more video games. One of the games I was really into was Bloodborne. I would try and look as cool as I possibly could while playing that game. I was obsessed at how aesthetically pleasing my gameplay looked. One of my friends eventually said to me : "Why don't you just play Devil May Cry?" and truth be told it still seemed like some crazy out of reach thing at that point but I would watch a lot of Youtube videos of people doing crazy combos and just be like "Woah, in my dreams."

After a while I actually chose to learn game development and make my own game. In the process of doing this (which is ongoing) I became a lot better at videogames and started playing through the series. I liked it a lot but it didn't completely click at first. I kept playing DMC 5 on and off and not really getting much better at it.

After Platinuming Resident Evil 4 remake I felt like that game was pretty perfect and I was talking to friends about which games were on that level of quality and Devil May Cry 5 kept coming up. So I decided I would try and platinum that too (hahaha... yeah thats still not quite done). This was where I became obsessed. I would play one or two missions on breaks from work and pretty much play it with all my free times in the evenings. I learned how to jump cancel and string some combos together and oh man.... no game possibly compares. Playing Devil May Cry feels like creating something much in the same way drawing or painting a picture does.

Fast forward to now and I've played all the games several times (3 and 5 more times than I could ever count) and watched both animes about 3 times each.

I still kind of suck but the road from being awful to less awful has been probably my most fulfilling gaming experience ever and I hope to be even less awful at DMC in the future.

Nice to meet you all!
