new "dante" isn't gay

well I can atleast applaud them for not doing I thought they were going to do from the trailer and the skin tight leather pants. I thought they would do it just to make him more of an outcast. but like always when ever I give them a compliment they turn around and do something that really stupid just like in either countdown, infinite crisis, or one of the other special events in dc comics.

he says that he wishes he did make dante gay now. I have nothing against gay people but I am against putting something in a game just to make them more of an outcast. also making already established characters gay for no reason like what they did with the green lantern in new 52
 
I wouldn't mind. It would be like when I thought DMC4 Dante was gay before I saw him flirt with the Frog's women.

But all seriousness, I really wouldn't care if he were gayor not. I mean this IS an alternate game too.
 
Ok, I see. When I read the title of the tread my first reaction was 'What?'

In modern game industry, much to it's shame, a homosexual character is a blaten flamer and you are left with little douth that the dude's gay. Dino here is so hetero it's almost a cliche. I douth that lipstic on his arm was left by a pair of very impressionably young boys. There are very few exeptions to that but I douth DmC would be one.

Saying that the dude is not gay is such a random statement that it's right up there with 'he is not a rabi' or a zoo monkey trainer, or a member of a very popular boy band.

It's funny, I never got that Bob was trying to insunuate that Dany boy like the eggs and sausage with the phrase 'sexual deviant.'
 
Lolz where does Sexuality comes in games ??? We still don't know if original Dante is gay or bi and we can't really find that out unless DMC converts into a dating sim now that would be awkward...

There are these things called cutscenes that happen in games. They are like movies but shorter and they happen a lot during games. If you watch them you learn things about the charicter that are not shown in gameplay. One of the things you can learn is that the original Dante is attracted to women and that he shows no attraction to men. From that you can conclude that Dante is probably straight and you do not need a dating sim to do it.

What i truly feel is Dante keep a distance from women, except Lady and Trish (however, they are business partners).

He keeps his distance from most people male or female so that doesn't say anything about his preferences. But his behavior towards Lady in DMC3 very clearly shows that he is attracted to women.

I don't think he was attracted. He was joking to Lady. He is closer to male. in novel and manga, he has very good male partners. Brotherly love is an official theme, so Dante's match is Vergil only.

1. Brotherly Love and Romantic Love are different things. Yaoi fanfiction is not canon so Dante is not sexualy attacted to his brother.
2. The type of jokes Dante said around Lady expressed sexual attraction. Gay men do not fake sexual attraction to women in a situation where no on is worried about that type of thing.
3. Dante also showed romantic feelings toward Lady at the end of DMC3.(those feelings seem to have faded by the anime but 10 years had passed by then anything could have happened) and he showed romantic feelings towards Lucia in the last few missions of DMC2.
4. I will admit that there is the possibility that Dante could be Bisexual but there is no evedence for that and even if that is the case he is not sexualy attracted to his brother.
5. It is okay to have fantasies about things you are interested in but it is unreasonable to claim that they are canon. (You don't hear me claiming that Lightning and Serah Farron from FFXIII are a couple in canon)
 
couldnt care less if he was gay or not. but i think it would be insulting if they made him gay just so "he is an outcast" if they made him gay it should either be played straight (no pun intended) or tell it properly.

Anyway, this thread is pointless. People just called him "gay" because they were ****ed off about his new look. Apparently, short black hair and a hoodie makes you emo and and gay. Those insults are both insensitive and homophobic. I thought we stop talking about these ridiculous things two years ago?

ooh i thought that it was that they thought that they considered making him gay to help make him more of an outcast. which is wrong. as people should not be shunned for their sexual preferences so to make someone gay just to make him an "outsider" just isnt right. not that people are just called him gay :P

they raised the question with the sexual deviant comment making us think is that just something bob made up to cast dante in a bad light or is it actually true, since Raptor news is supposed to a parody of fox news,
and what is fox news? a Rightwing new station,
and who watches right wing news? Republicans.
what religious groups makes up a large portion of the republican party? Christian's/ Catholics fundamentalists.
what is it that christian's and catholics (fundamentalists) are against? Gay marriage.
and what religious text is against homosexuals, the bible
so it was their possible intent to make us wonder that
