These two are missing in the new DMC.

The mythologies are still kept in the new DMC. But since in this one, it doesn't share some stuff like it had in Dmc4.

Don't you think there should be some Christian values in the new franchise?

Ah, I thought he meant in terms of the world the game's set in.

Well Lilith is based after the Lilith who was Adam's first wife, and Kat could be considered short for Catherine, like the Catherine of Alexandria who got beheaded, yeah...her future's looking great!

Actually, both the original games and this takes from religions and The Divine Comedy.
If you think about it, this game takes more stuff from the old poem than the original games.

The world is mirrored by one that's literally Limbo.
Hunter demon could be anger or greed, idk.
Poison can easily translate to the circle of gluttony.
Lilith would obviously be the circle of lust.
Bob Barbas is easily heresy.
Mundus can be fraud or violence.
Vergil could be treachery.

It's really fitting, at least to me.

Kat seems to take the role of Vergil as a literal apparition in Limbo and later takes the role of Beatrice, but in the way the video game Dante's Inferno portrays it (she's more of a muse in the original story). The game seems to play with the whole myth and lore straight imo.

Paexie, do you mean Beatrice Portinari?

Not to be a dick, but this is gonna lead to some possible religious thing. "POSSIBLY" Not saying it will. I'm a Christian but even I don't want to get into one of these. So just in case...

better?

Why exactly do we even need Christian values to begin with? It's already clear that DmC is very heavy on social satire, attacking all levels of our culture such as the Media, Banks, Junk food, etc. Religion is another. "Just doing God's work."

If you're hoping for any sincere Christian elements, I would prepare for imminent disappointment.

This is a discussion thread and you should at least have the decency to explain why you think there is no reference to christianity. You failed to substantiate your post and that seems to be why people called you out. Your fixed post isn't any better as you have completely deviated from your initial statement and still have not explained why you think there is no reference to christianity in the game.

Okay let me explain....

Couldn't God get involved in this? Dante could at least know Sparda met the Lord during his adventures.
