Actually, it makes them easier targets.

Then why does it takes so long to beat them?

It shouldn't, except in the case of characters like (grrr) Echidna who won't stay still and let me kill her. Also, Dagon and Bael disappear for minutes, extending the fight. Berial, however, I can mow down easily, every time.

...But, compare them to Credo, Agnus, Sanctus and Dante.

like vergil? or bloody palace dante. Nelo Angelo was an awesome battle but vergil was just epic.

But those were the fights I enjoyed the most. It kinda felt like you actually had to trust your reflexes to beat him. Felt frickin' great to fight him on the harder difficulties.
