Mundus and Sparda

Hmm so they were not actual brothers something like war brothers fighting together or something

Well that's the tough part. A "blood brother" can actually be a brother given by birth, or someone who is simply regarded as closely as a brother would be.

So it's all up to the full game to tell us whether Mundus is the Sons of Sparda's uncle, or it emphasizes how close Sparda and Mundus were.

i think the term blood brothers feels self explanatory. it does fit with the shakespearan theme they are going for.

Just for a little more clarifictation:
blood brother
n.
1. A brother by birth.
2. One of two individuals who vow mutual fidelity and trust by a ceremony involving the mingling of each other's blood.

I have no problem with Mundus being Dante's uncle, that could actually make things very interesting. However it's more likely that Sparda and Mundus will just be "sworn" brothers. Probably became very close after all their battles together while taking control of the Demon world. Which isn't odd considering that Mundus made Sparda his second in command at one time.

I dunno about that. Being a godfather is an honor given to an accepted by close friends of the family. I think once Sparda hooked up with Eva the demons were less than pleased about it, long before they had children :x

Yep, that's correct. It's said that they are( or were ) blood brothers.

However, it's something to not be taken literally. Probably that means they just fought together, nothing more than that. Both Sparda and Mundus are demons, which means they are "brothers" from hell. :)

Well yeah, clearly that wouldn't be the case, unless he wasn't always so evil. Hence my flirtatious winking- although it would be incredibly ironic if Sparda had trusted Mundus enough to do that at one point. In which case, I'm sure Vergil and Dante couldn't care less.

Ah, I wondering if that was what I heard, too. I used to headcanon that Sparda and Mundus were very close, either brothers in arms or actual brothers. Glad this game is going with that, it'll make the parallel with Dante and Vergil's relationship ending in betrayal even more apparent.
