Mighty No.9

..... i wish i didn't.

And now we can add Onimusha to the raped franchise pile. Yay.

Edit:
Seems like the first stretch goal was made a few hours ago, Mighty No.9 will now have two additional stages. When 1.35m is met (Currently at 1.23m) then Mac/Linux versions will be made.

Just gotta raise 1.27m for console versions :P Mind you, people like Angry Joe and a few other popular youtubers are starting to get the word out.

Mighty Edit No.2:

Came along with this update

I don't know if you already read this, but it could give you a little of insight how Capcom sees this:

http://www.p4rgaming.com/capcom-wis...reat-concept-like-keiji-inafunes-mighty-no-9/

Yeah that website isn't very accurate....f*ck it...that is the last website I'd go to for actual information considering it has amazing articles such as this:

http://www.p4rgaming.com/hideo-koji...ng-character-questions-faith-in-god-spoilers/

http://www.p4rgaming.com/metal-gear...sing-nude-as-a-model-for-the-male-characters/

http://www.p4rgaming.com/capcom-con...-mega-man-title-gamers-have-been-waiting-for/

Plus this amazing gem:

http://www.p4rgaming.com/capcom-acc...-cancelled-8-mega-man-games-in-the-past-year/

If this was true it would've been all over the internet that Capcom cancelled not 4 (well they technically cancelled 3) but 8 MEGAMAN GAMES.

If Capcom doesn't want to do anything with MegaMan then fine. I'll be happy with a MegaMan successor from the creator of my beloved little blue bomber.

Great and fantastic news! Mighty No. 9 has reached over $2 million in donations. Joystiq, "Mighty No. 9 reaches $2 million, lets you cut to the front of the boss line".

What does this mean? For one, boss rush mode will be part of the game. Two, if it reaches $2.2 million, which it probably will, Mighty No. 9 will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U. Three, if it reaches $2.75 million, it'll have online co-op. And four, if it reaches $3.3 million, Mighty No. 9 will be on the PS4 and Xbox One.

Also, slapping this here because I found an amazing comment by vaffangool:
Ultimately, the mission of Kickstarteris to catch good projects that would otherwise fall through the cracks. That doesn't necessarily mean access to more money--it means putting the proposal in front of more eyeballs.
It is not always easy for someone close to a project to fully- or properly convey its attributes. It can be particularly difficult to generate enthusiasm for the full spectrum of attributes--or vision, in the corny shorthand--to those whose minds are specialised for other (read fiduciary) duties. The fate of a proposal too often rests with the wrong people.
In the video gaming business, the uncommon spark that makes a title truly special is not likely to be missed--even by those in the board room. Unfortunately, games with broader appeal typically hold the promise of greater ROI; the battle over a zero-sum pool of development dollars is typically won by titles that can be appreciated by the lowest common denominator.
That is why, counterintuitively, Kickstarter is relevant in environments where funding is already available. By allowing more people to evaluate a project, Kickstarter exposes the proposal to more minds who are able to understand its promise--and willing to risk their own money.
These investors are not responsible for evaluating other proposals. The emotion they invest is more significant than the sums they contribute--they are simply declaring their belief in an innovation, buying a small piece of entrepreneurial spirit, expressing a preference for thespecialover the mass-market.

So, what do you think of this view on Kickstarter? I think it's a great view on Kickstarter since it has brought so many ideas like the 3D Printer and Mighty No. 9 along with reviving franchises such as Shantae to life. Most companies evaluate proposals and accept them or reject them after predicting what will happen to the product. Sleeping Dogs was rejected by Activision who felt it wouldn't profit or sell well. Luckily, it was picked up by Square Enix who saw potential in it. The issue is that these decisions are made by businesspeople and they want to keep companies from losing money. Consumers on the other hand have little to no say on what gets approved or not. Kickstarter makes it so that consumers have the power to choose and support what they feel has potential. Megaman fans longed for another Megaman, they saw potential in Mighty No. 9. They were not alone as other people probably saw potential in it too. Same thing goes for the 3D Printer and Shantae. Y'know who knows what Kickstarter can do in the future, but we do know its place in the economy.

hmm boss rush sounds awesome its just supposed to be beating every boss in game successively right ? its would be nail bitingly hard on a megaman game.

Worth watching if your a Megaman fan

Btw the new game gives me a good impression, so you guys go ahead and enjoy it when it comes out :D

EDIT: I would have wanted my money back if i had donated to the project, and found out such person was working on it.
No offence, but i wouldn't going to stand for stuck up morons who look at something and say "Why does this game not cater to me?".

Actually MegaMan ZX Advent had a Boss Rush and I think MegaMan 10 (or 9) and I remember it being easy.........after the first 10 tries.

However that is MegaMan ZX who knows how Mighty No. 9 game mechanics will be considering MegaMan ZX was quite forgiving compared to the Classics although the Boss Rush in Advent only granted you the lowest health bar at the beginning of the game and 2 sub tanks with zero retries.

Not to mention bosses in the older MM games were cake when you had their weakness/knew their pattern. I hope Mighty No. 9 doesn't have patterns >.<

Oh man...this game is going to be awesome! I can't wait for its release (still a year or more left :dead:).

P.S: About Capcom and their decision of not doing 9 games of Megaman...I feel like kicking their a$$ right now:mad: (not that i can do it -.-'') and about this: “Kamiya-san is welcome to return home as well. Nothing bad has happened to any of his franchises like Devil May Cry since he has left.” ...Objection!:cautious:
