Medal of Honor controversy

You probably heard this, but last month people got up in arms about how in the new MoH game you can play as the Taliban. I love how no one has a problem with games letting you play as the Nazis. Anyway. Well there has been a development. MoH will not be sold in Game Stop Army stories. Full story:

What do you guys think? I say if a man or woman in the military wants to play a game then he/she should be able to.

Stupid.

Can't see why the U.S. army is 'banning' this upcoming game in military stores. It is just a video game. And like you said, Nazis often become villains in many video games, yet the Germans did not complain much. Everyone should have their rights in playing games, unless the game itself is pure controversy. Playing as a Taliban in the new Medal of Honor game is fine with me.

Good thread.

Two words.

BUUUUULLLL CRAAAAAAAP.

Why the heck did they think banning the game was a bad idea? Like you two said, Nazis are fine, but not the Taliban? Lulz.

Kept you waiting, huh?
>You could play as the Taliban in Modern Warfare's multiplayer.
>No controversy.
>Double standards.

Not only that, but I don't recall Modern warfare 2 being banned in stores for being able to fire on innocent people. America. Gotta love it.

So long as you are killing Taliban, Vietnamese, Nazis, Japanese etc no-one bats an eyelid. The minute you can play the other side people are up in arms? To be honest if you played multiplayer on all the games that had those nations as enemies you have always been able to play as them. Its stupid and just because the Taliban are an ongoing 'enemy' it shouldnt make a difference.

Because one of the song lyrics are quoted directly from the Quran, one of the holy text for the Muslims. The song is Tapha Niang.

I am a Muslim, and I did not find it to be controversial. I swear, I hate it when Muslims do these kind of things. This what makes us Muslims become much more hated than usual in the West.

If you find the game is controversial, simply mute the audio when playing, or don't buy the game at all. Don't make the rest of the world wait for the game just because of this.
