Max Payne 3 delayed

The release of Max Payne 3 has slipped by a few months, Rockstar has just sent word.

Previously on for March, the game is now targeting May.

“We do not take changes to our release schedule lightly, and this short delay will ensure that Max Payne 3 delivers the highest quality, groundbreaking entertainment experience that is expected from our Company,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two of the decision.

“Max Payne 3 promises to be one of our most exciting releases to date, and we are confident that consumers will once again be amazed by Rockstar’s ability to take interactive entertainment to another level.”

May falls into the company’s fiscal first quarter 2013. Take-Two now expects to report a net loss for fiscal 2012.

EDIT: The game is scheduled to be released on May 15, 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360, and May 29, 2012 for PC in North America.

Hope the delay is for the best. I was expecting to play this game on March.

oh man the game sounded and looked to be really cool . i hope the delay the delay is for best too but i dont want that it get delayed for quite a while

Im glad they delayed it, dont rush something out if it isnt finished. It will only help them iron out bugs and polish the game for release. Plus I have way to many games to play at the minute so adding another to the list isnt an option at the moment.
