We've heard of this so- called "system" being talked about in interviews and stuff, so what are your ideas on it? Think it's Mundus in disguise or maybe a replacement? Is it the "god" that Bob Barbas seemingly works for?

perhaps malice is the demonic force that morphs the world of limbo, and mundus is the one who controls malice. therefore it would make sense that malice is the demonic force trying to kill you as they've talked about in interviews, and it would still make mundus the god of this world since he controls malice. i think that makes sense. :P

That's if Mundus is as big as he was in DMC1. But if NT decides to keep his status intact (unlike what the 4chan guy said), then this would definitely make sense.

Remember end of the extended TGS trailer?
The city changed back to its original form, and we heard a very Serkis-esque voice saying "You don't f--k with a god."
I don't know who that voice belongs to, but it's someone powerful enough to just change Limbo back into the real world; something Dante can't do yet.

So I'm thinking that Malice is just the idea of the world sort of bending to the will of the most powerful demon there.

Maybe Mundus is the city. It is alive afterall. Imagine a final boss battle, where the buildings, cars, street lights and roads merge together into a giant demon! That would be awesome!

kenken your theory has blown my mind with a good possibility. In the captive trailer we see a huge demon, with what may be the whip, bring dante to limbo at will. At first I didn't think anything special of this but with your theory....... Maybe there are powerful devils in the game of which control parts of limbo. Each could potentially control these parts via malice, virility could be one way? These devil could also see themselves as gods because of their ability to control limbo.

now this theory i just made up after reading yours ken but there's more to it just a matter of me making sense of what i'm thinking.

Hmm... Interesting. Though NT referred to it as a "system." Maybe the voice is the demon speaking through that system?

NT did refer to it as a system, you're right.

Maybe "Malice" is any type of world-morphing in the game?

Dante's a God and has a demonic voice?

What kind of trailer were you watchin'?

That could be a qoute Dante says at the end of the game when he has his white hair and red coat again.

Also, what if the final battle with Mundus is with Dante fighting the entire world as everything is just coming at you in a ****storm of ways!

It's Dante v.s. The World! Like Scott Pilgrim vs the World, only instead of seven evil exs, it's the seven deadly sins.:D

I think Malice might be a creation of Mundus as a part of his plan to conquer earth.

Its a creature that possess cities and cause humans to go mad, chutlu style.

hey Z didn't in one interview tam said that limbo was a living entity? If thats the case maybe the secret areas and malice have abit in common?

^he probably did.

Maybe the secret areas are Malice's weak spots, hence why they are secret.

tameem said that dantes demon blood allows the demons to pull him into limbo and if he has angel blood as well, do u think theres an angel layer on top of the human world too.

woah never even thought about that! i guess it's possible, tameem has also said that the angels in the game are not necessarily "good".

I think the "god" the Bob was talking about is Mundus since humans dont know that demons control pretty much everything but i dont think Mundus is the only god in the game since a quote in one trailer says "Dont f with a god" instead of saying dont f with god. So maybe once angels are introduced into the game we will find out if there's a angelic god.
