Okay, I am severely hyped about the new Soul Calibur coming soon. It looks beautiful and the new characters look very interesting. It is no secret that I have already fallen for the new Zwei, or Z.W.E.I., character and the hype is just rolling on!
The characters confirmed to be in the game are:
Siegfried, Patroklos, Natsu, Zwei, Pyrrha, Hilde, Mitsurugi, Ivy, Maxi, Astaroth, Voldo, Tira, Viola, Raphael, Nightmare, Cervantes, Yoshimitsu, Dampierre (exclusive only to certain editions), Leixia, Xiba, Aeon Calcos, Algol, Edge Master, Ezio Auditore (guest character) and recently Kilik and a new character called Elysium have been announced.
Elysium looks an awful lot like Sophitia, imo, and I wouldn't doubt that there is some kind of connection between the two. Some of my favourite characters are Ivy, Raphael and Tira are in the game while others have been left behind, such as Taki and Zasalamel. Natsu just isn't the same as Taki, I don't like her girly demeanor, but I can always make Taki in Create-a-character mode and use Natsu's fighting style.
It also looks like there are alternate/dark versions of Patroklos and Pyrrha where Patroklos uses a fighting style close to that of Setsuka's. What Pyrrha's alternate fighting style is has yet to be revealed, but I hope it is Zasalamel's so I can make a character wielding a scythe. ^^
And of course I am going to make Dante as well.
Zwei looks absolutely HOT! I have a thing for werewolves (the cool kind, not the Twilight kind) and anything associated with the moon, so the fact that Zwei can summon a werewolf-like spirit and have wolf-head and moon trinkets all over his clothes is really cool and I am so going to give it my all to master him!
Ezio as a guest character is also really neat as he fits like a glove in the series. Guest characters in the past games didn't really fit into the game, being too fantasy-like (Link, Spawn) or simply not fitting into the timeline or universe (Heihachi, Darth Vader, Kratos), but it makes alot more sense for Ezio to be in the game. His fighting style also looks really cool and his use of his many weapons looks very unique.
I usually use this site as my source of news for Soul Calibur V and other fighting games as well, so you can go here and check out more about it, if you want:
