Chombichrist is not metal, it's aggrotech. So kinda of like electronic music with very hard beats and distorted sounds (including voice). It would be hard for something like heavy electric guitar and base sounds to appear in this game, if anything. Most of previous DMCs had metal soundtracks, however they did have some distortion instances that sounded a lot like what Chombichrist does.
I guess what NT thought about when it came to the soundtrack was "some loud and strong, cool sounding beats." And Chombichrist is got great rhythm, I like Never Surrender and the one for the new trailer is friggin' amazing. I've never been the greatest fan of metal anyway... or electronic music for that matter, even though I do love all of DMCs soundtracks.
