Well, I noticed I keep going back to this site, even when I shouldn't because it gets in the way of school.
I'm also sick of the weird atmosphere hanging around here at times. There is still hate in this forum... strangely enough towards DMC and anyone who likes it, mostly. Blablah, speculation blah.
Also getting way too ****ed from people verbally attacking me (for no apparent reason, just because my opinion is different from theirs I guess), when I could just put them on the ignore list. But then, just ignoring doesn't work for me.

Also, I just decided to quit gaming completely, because games are getting more and more boring to me. It might be because of the small amount of truly great games being released nowadays. Whatever the reason, there won't be any games left for me to really enjoy and put time into. That too is ****ing me off. This at the age of 22... it's sad, but it's time to change things up.

Long story short, I've asked an admin to ban me, because I don't have any business here anymore. Thanks, and good luck, have fun and all that.

... I've taken you off my ignore list so that I can explain this:

This is our DmC haven. Our most sacred and Final Stronghold against those who would bear ill will against DmC, its developers, and its fans.

Everywhere else is an absolute nightmare for us.

I hope I managed to explain why this place is so important to us.

I'm sorry things had to end this way.

Godspeed.

Uuhm... what is happening here? Why are you acting like I'm some kind of DmC 'hater'? The worst I may have said is that DmC doesn't suit my taste and that its characters are mainly annoying (to me). Also, "had to end this way"? What way? You realize I'm leaving because I'm quitting gaming, right? I think everybody knows I've always posted pretty decently on this forum. If I hadn't, I wouldn't have been here so long. I never did ''bare *bear ill will against DmC'', so please don't imply that I did. Anyway, if you didn't mean to imply that, then please realize this: this is not your 'DmC haven'. This is a forum where you can talk about DMC1 to DmC, saying pretty much anything you want to say as long as it remains civil. It's a forum, not a place where you can shut people up if you don't like criticism. Also, I've seen plenty of other forums and boards where DmC is also liked, so I don't know why you think "everywhere else is a nightmare" for you. So... yeah... I've had enough of all the turmoil, tbh.
But still, good luck. You often seem on edge, but I have no problems with your views.

Ah, right you are. A typo on my part. Fixed.

Well, I would certainly hope that you wouldn't bear any ill will against DmC, seeing as how a good percentage of people on this site are fans of the game.

So long.

I am nearly 30 and have been gaming since I was about 5 years old and still love it just as much if not more now. I just appreciate different aspects of the gaming industry now rather than just 'playing' the games. I help create forums, share articles with fellow gamers, converse with developers and shall hopefully get into modding again shortly. So many things to do within the industry to enjoy other than actually playing the games.

I will leave it a while to see if you change your mind on the ban as differing opinions is no reason to quit altogether and you need to broaden your gaming horizons if at 22 you cant find ANY you enjoy.

I havent been able to afford many new games due to money being spent on life (marriage/honeymoon/house etc) so I am back to playing older retro games currently. There is something out there for everyone just have to embrace new things.

Playing the games is all I have. I'm not interested in talking to developers or sharing articles, so all I can say is 'everybody's different'. At the moment, I can't stand the gaming industry, and I find most of the games really boring. It's like xMobilemux has said before, games are getting dumbed down in terms of gameplay, and the focus seems to lie on the story, even though the stories are mostly mediocre. I can enjoy some games, don't worry. But that's just it: I enjoy some a bit, but I don't really find them that good. It's like with DmC: I enjoyed it, but was it particularly good? Naah.
Anyway, you should do what you think is best, but I think this is it. Differing opinions isn't the cause of my desire to leave, I promise you.

Issued temporary ban in case they change their mind (as most seem to) as seemed adamant they wanted to go (for now).

Anyone getting 'bored' or disillusioned with gaming needs to start looking outside of the AAA games/developers as there are plenty of indie titles/early access games and games by smaller studios that are currently in early alpha stages that are showing promise out there. Broaden your horizons people and give some of the 'smaller games' a chance.
