Is Vergil Dead?

Is Vergil dead? My ex-boyfriend seems to think he is, that he died in dmc 1 (the final nelo angelo battle). I don't think so. I think that Vergil got trapped in the underworld after that. and that is alive keeping a low profile and perhaps preparing to open the gate to hell again...and therfore get his a$$ kicked by his little brother, once again. What do you guys think?

Personally, I believe Vergil is still alive and will make an appearance in a future Devil May Cry sequel - one way or another...

Yeah i think he's alive too. he makes an appearance in my story. more than one appearance actually.
