Hey guys,

Dunno how many of you knew about this, but back in 2011, Capcom Japan released a cool trailer for DmC that made use of some mystery song that didn't end up appearing in the game.

Somehow I never caught the trailer or any of the buzz that had generated around the song, which apparently people liked a lot.

Well, thanks to DmC: Definitive Edition's producer Rey, we have some answers and a free song to download.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the song was composed by classic DMC series composer Tetsuya Shibata, with lyrics by Donna Burke, who has recently done some awesome vocal work for Metal Gear Solid (Peace Walker, MGSV).

I saw that people in certain pockets of the internet were pretty ravenous for info on the song, so, late as it is, I'm glad it's finally out there. Download at the link above, if'n you please!

Yes! Thank you! Is it also possible to dig up the studio version of the accolades trailer, or was that one created at Ninja Theory?

I'm not a big fan of that song but I know alot of people were so thank you for that. Now, any chance we could get the ones from DMC4's trailer?

Ooo ooo, which one? I know that in Japan they marketed DMC4 with "Drink it Down" by L'arc~en~Ciel.

There were 2:

(This one sounds like Emma Shapplin)

And then you have that one piece that played on the official site that never made it to the soundtrack. As far as I know these are the only unreleased tracks that went in to the promotion of DMC4.

If you ever have the chance to speak to Ms. Burke, could you tell her I was a big fan of her work in SH2? I liked her performance SH3 alright, but the second one really shook me to the core.

On-topic:

Um... she's got a great voice and I'm looking forward to hearing her sing again.

Yep. This more or less confirms it in my mind:

What DMC1 was to RE, DmC is to SH, in my humble opinion.

I mean, look at my sig -- that pretty much screams, "Action-based Silent Hill" from my perspective.

Thanks, Gregaman. As a SH2/Persona 4 fan, this really does mean a lot to me.
