I miss the over the top SwordMaster moves.

I get what they were going for.

Give people a few of the style specific abilities without making them switch styles.

We have air dash, fireworks, charged shot, rainstorm.

Where are the awesome over the top Swordmaster moves?

Man I miss those.

RG would be nice also but I was never that into it.

Prop and Shredder got put into Osiris and Air Raid got thrown into Aquila. I do miss stuff like Dance Macabre and some of the really crazy stuff you could do back in DMC3, hopefully in DmC2, if we get it, they'll incorp more stuff from the styles.

Which moves you mean? At least for the rebellion moves, we've got almost all of them in the game somehow (i think only dance macabre was left out.)

There are a few DMC3 moves I miss a lot though, like that crazy "pole spin" at the end of dance macabre, wallrun, that oh so awesome forward spin move of beowulf with vergil...

There is the move where you throw the sword at them and can kick after but I know what you mean, it's just without them being on Rebellion they don't feel right also why is Aquilas move called Round Trip? I know what they mean but come on, that's pushing it a bit much.

Yeah,

I was thinking stuff like Dance Macabre, the Flame Tornado with Agni and Rudra. The over the top awesome looking ones.

First time I saw Ultimate Tempast I **** my pants!

To be sincere here, I actually like Aquillas Round Trip more than the rebellion one. You can do it without the charge, keep attacking with the same weapon after you do it, and even when you do have to charge, it somehow works better because that animation before throwing the blade is gone.
I mean, it's a win-win move. xD

But I never liked the round trip of DMC4 to begin with. The move you had in it's place with DMC3 dante on the other hand, that was an nice attack. Personal favorite of mine.

Agreed on every part, though overdrive in DMC4 was bada$$

I love the Buy in move with Aquila because it is an excellent setup move.

The round trip is okay but I think it is a little OP.

I normally only use it on Witches and Blue Rages.

Jesus Christ, I need to pay more attention to the game's mechanics. Just realised that I always struggle to kill two or more Angelic Rages where I could easily stun one with Aquila. >_<
Thank you, Shawn Hoaglan, you just made DMD easier for me.

I just miss styles in general, that was my biggest disappointment with DmC.
If a DmC 2 is made i hope they decide to use styles again. Im not saying get rid of the stance system just make it so u can equip different styles for that stance like a Satan stance that would have a RG block instead of the demon dodge. Each stance could could possible change the moves for the weapons to so its almost like getting a new weapon too like wielding the Arbiter with one hand or something like that.

I prefer DmC's method of streamlining all of the styles together. DMC4's method of using the D-pad was too clunky in my opinion and wouldn't work in DmC's control scheme.
In DmC2, they could make forward forward square a move, but hey, I'm not complaining :)

To be honest with my setup I don't even have anything bound to the Y button, I really don't look at having 2 roll buttons as being essential. They could easily have another set of moves by having an additional attack button instead of 2 rolls.

I've been going on the hypothesis that Death Coil is a chopped down version of Dance Macabre (personally I liked DMC4's version; the spinning around the sword looked silly to me, prefer the batter up finishing blow)

I actually hope that instead of using "classic" moves they just actually come up with more cool original attacks that haven't been in the series before, THAT'S WHAT CAUSED STAGNATION

I do wish that Dante had an expanded move list to incorporate some of his other attacks from previous games. I really miss Dance Macabre in this game :(

so you did nothing with your free button? i made L1 demon mode and left L2 as angel. then left R1 as dodge and turned R2 into gun special.

yea i think it was done purposely, remember theyve said this is Dante before he become uber graceful and had no wasted innefficient movements in his fighting style.

I've been thinking for the longest time that classic Dante's melee fist weapons (Gilgamesh, Beowulf and the like) could finally use an overhaul or upgrade to their moveset.

What we really need instead, is BIGGER moves for this game. Very few of the moves in this game had a "HOLY ****!!" feel to them other than maybe a max uppercut, moves that had big risk/big reward like Real Impact and Pandora's Disaster Gauge based attacks in DMC4.

i don't think the holy **** factor fits into the DmC aesthetic, tell me you didn't freak out when you saw round trip
