I just traded in Halo 4 towards this game

Feels good. I used a 50% towards a trade in and got 30 dollars in total off of DmC at gamestop. I originally paid 40 for halo 4 because I traded a game towards it. I don't regret it one bit. Halo was the worst game of this year to me and to trade it in for this game it feels really good.

The guy at the register was like "you know I am really excited for the new DmC game, at first when the first trailer released I was excited but now I really cant wait to play it cause it looks like it's turning out so well."

I wanted to have a longer conversation with him, but I think he had trouble speaking with me and I didn't want to put too much stress on him because of his stutter (it was really bad...like...I felt really bad for him). When I got the DmC demo my playtime went down for Halo 4 drastically and when I went to pick it back up, I was gravely disappointed. I felt like it was such a waste to have a game I no longer liked compared to a demo.

So I traded it in for DmC, and feel no regrets. True Story. Actually happened. And to think that I waited in-line for the midnight launch of Halo 4 tsk tsk tsk...If DmC has a midnight launch (which is doubtful unfortunately) I will be the first one out there waiting for it.

Ironic. A friend of mine said the exact same thing about Halo 4. He said there was no real explanation, and nothing that different from the other Halo games when it came to gameplay.

It was a terrible game. The multiplayer sucked as well. At first I liked it better than other halo games, but as time went on, I found that is was very restricted and very dependant on selling it's ideas of "spartan ops" which was really bland and pointless to me and if you didn't beat them on the week they came out you couldn't play on those levels online. It was set up in such a stupid way it made my head ache everytime I started it up and saw "SPARTAN OPS HAS BEEN UPDATED or SPARTAN OPS UPDATES IN A WEEK FROM NOW OR 4 DAYS" etc. talk about overkill.

so it didn't phase me trading it in towards DmC. Probably the best decision I have made in the video games category.

Once you go DmC,
you never play shooters as you can see
I have a PS3 anyways so Halo 4 was never an option for me

Halo 4 is at least a well made game though....not that I bought it, but a respectable series.

I've always hated FPS games. So bland. Trading that in for DmC was a good choice.

lol, we are like two peas in a pod. We both miss each other too much to part from each other for long periods of time. But I get my game time in while she does all of her college homework till I have to go to school too -_- that's going to suck so bad.

I actually liked Halo 4, and the Halo series in general. It's a unique world, and a great story. But people ignore a lot of the amazing characters and environments are ignored towards the multiplayer. Woe is me...

Yeah I will. I'm going to have to anyways because my job is sending me to training that lasts 4 weeks and I have to go to a different state. After this I go through a trial period of sorts where I get paid minimum wage then after like 2 months I start earning somewhere between 800 and 1200 a week.

So I would rather put my schooling aside to have this training then just do schooling later. It's either that or I make a career out of my current job. But sometimes I think twice cause I would imagine working with 13 women all day would get to me and drive me nuts. They gossip so much at my work, they never stop. NEVER. EVVVVEEEERRRRRRRRR.... always constant drama yappity yap yap. If you gave them knives they would all probably kill themselves by the end of the day.

The story of Halo 4 was good, but everything else sucked about it to me. Halo Reach's multiplayer was much better and much more balanced. This multiplayer blew. That is why I like to stay away from multiplayer games because it can make or break the entire experience.

remember that its only a game and that ur wife is the real thing. So when you buy DmC, only put in an hour each day, and try to forget about it through out the day. Sure its gonna be hard but you'll be fine. Plus the game will last longer and you'll get a better experience taking it in small doses. BUT whenever you have the chance, where she leaves you by yourself.....Play the game like crazy and listen for the car!!!

I was always playing DMC 3, I played the game so much and I felt there was so much replay value that I played it till I had to wean myself off of it at some point and get school work done (I was still in high school at the time) and take a break from it. DMC 4 didn't really bring that back for me and I began waiting for that day when a new DMC would come out. And guess what? DmC is getting released in january, the same month as my birthday (a week away literally) and my wife is letting me have the game early as a birthday present. I have a feeling she even got me the DMC HD collection as well, because I asked her "can I please get a kinect, devil may cry HD, and Silent Hill HD?" and guess what? a rectangular box (same size as and shape as a kinect box...I checked at a target by where I work and it also weighs the same <.<) and two game-shaped presents in a bag she thinks I didn't see.

So yes, I am spoiled. Though she is spoiled as well cause I got her quite the collection of items. I think she'll love it. why did I type up a wall of text?

Halo is a great game in it's own merit, but Halo 4 was just the end of a series that I used to love. I am no longer a huge fan of multiplayers and DmC is kind of bringing me back. It's ironic cause it's rumored that the new xbox will release at the end of next year.

From the reviews ive read & opinions of friends I thought it sounded like 343 Studios did well to stand up to Bungies effort with their first Halo game & had big boots to fill. It was received positively & scored highly (Average of 87%) & has won awards on some sites though of course wasnt going to please everyone it seemed to have pleased most. Im looking forward to getting it for Christmas though I never play multiplayer really on Halo games besides co-op.

However surely this thread is more about your purchase of the new DmC rather than people agreeing & disagreeing over getting rid of another title is it not?
