I had a wonderful moment while playing and had to share.

So I was playing Bloody Palace, and I had this moment where I was super in the zone. Nothing else mattered. I was dodging, countering, and stringing together awesome combos while getting SSS ranks. Time flew.

Devil May Cry games have always been about getting into the zone and blowing away your enemies with your stylish-ness. While this was happening, all the things about the gameplay that bothered me weren't a concern anymore.

It was a really awesome feeling. And that sort of thing is the essence of Devil May Cry games. So, even though this game has a lot of things I don't like, it does get things right where it counts. It's a blissful gaming experience.

I just wanted to share that with all of you. Did you have a similar experience? What are some of your favorite moments from playing the game?

Mine were actually during the during mission 13 in the club. Just storming through those demons to loud music was pumping my blood up.

And then there's playing BP with your favorite energetic music is a good experience.

custom music while playing BP.

I actually like that I can blow through the first 40 floor in 20 minutes, cause after that **** gets real, really quick

btw have u beaten BP yet Meg?

I'm kidding, obviously.

But that wasn't really my experience with it. I got that more from Vergil than the main game.

That's not true, actually. I did the first time I played but back then there wasn't a bloody palace and the game started to weigh down with every difficulty I cleared. It was my plays after the first where the issues really started to bug me.

Traitor? Me? Never.

I still think DMC >>>>>>>>>>>>>> DmC, but that doesn't mean I can't shut up my cynical side now and then.

I beat Mundus on SOS and got an SS ranking!

Now on to Vergil! :sneaky:

well done meg. Vergil is easy to take down make good use of kablooey against him attacking him head on tben dodging and trillion stabs with arbuter has the best results on sos unless you wanna be stylish of course.

AND I'M BACK!

Glad to see you enjoying the game Meg!

Man when I have custom music on while going though BP, I tend to get a little lost in the combat. For what it is, when you get it going it's actually extremely enjoyable. I can almost compare it to how I felt while playing DMC3.

Finished SOS mode! :D

I powered through the first six missions of Heaven or Hell already. I know I won't have time for DMD before Dark Souls II comes out, but I still wanna play this game one more time. So HoH it is! :sneaky:

this happens to me in bloody palace every time after a bit, i can jump cancel perfectly, not once does a beowulf killer bee miss and not once do i mistime things, i dodge and i jump away under and over every little attack i can feel that every single attack is going to connect and now i can obliterate even the points where hell vanguards are spammed, last run i managed to get hit only twice against 3 vanguards at one point.

and dammit, if theres one way to demonstrate devil hunting abilities, its this mode, i think all that endlesss devil hunting puts me in the right mindset, no cutscenes, no having to restart because i got hit a single time by a meaningless attack, i can even effectively jump cancel on those weird angel demons, who have the smallest JC hit box have seen yet, but i just flow one killer bee to another to an endless stream of air crosses slash cerberus sstrike slash helm breaker slash the nevan air attack.

i remember another moment with vergil 3 on dmd, in that fight against him where i won, my skills went from pretty ok to seriously kicking the guys ass.

every one of my old mistakes that i frequently made and resulted in me failing were just, tossed away and buried.

and then revived next time i tried too kill him lol.
