I found something weird...

Dooooesn't quite sound like it, although it's hard to make out the muzak to begin with.

I fully admit though, I was sick of hearing Fly Me to the Moon in Bayonetta, but...that's just one more thing I didn't like about Bayonetta :p

What? Fly me to the moon is awesome.

I play that song a lot...when playing DmC.

The ironic part is that I can see Dante and Vergil as Panty and Stocking.

In fact, someone should mod Dante in Panty's colors and Vergil in Stockings.
Sometimes I think they watched Panty & Stocking to get ideas for DmC considering some of the plot devices it has in common. However, I couldn't see Vergil just sitting around all day eating cake and candy. However, Dante has Panty's sleeping around trait down pat.

Fly Me to the Moon is a very nice song, especially in Bayonetta. I love how they actually made something of a remix instead of making a perfect copy of the original song, then calling it a 'remix', which many artists like doing nowadays. I don't know, you can't seriously say it's terrible music; it was from long ago - 1954, for F's sake. So you can't compare it to modern music. Anyway, go listen to that terrible Rihanna or Bruno Mars if you want to, but I'll gladly listen to Fly Me to the Moon.

How dare you imply I listen to Bruno Mars! HOW DARE YOU!!!!

i still prefer the frank sinatra version. the two versions in bayonetta are great but sinatra just makes it work.

Oh I love Frank's version, and yeah, it is from a long time ago, but it holds up well. However...Bayonetta's remix of it is from recently, and I just don't like it, because it's an annoying pop song...a rather bad one at that. I also don't like Rihanna because she's famous for repeating parts of words, and Bruno Mars is very meh, except for one or two of his panty-melting songs.

There's a lot I don't like about Bayonetta, and Fly Me to the Moon's remix is one of them.

Sorry, but the version by Peggy Lee (which is also on the Bayonetta Sountrack) is way better than Sinatra (if you don't know who she is, she sang that song a few years before Sinatra touched it... look on google lol).

Frank Sinatra's is one of the most famous versions that I had heard, but, not like it matters; I just don't like the remix in Bayonetta, and it's used a lot...

Pardon for me for just not liking Bayonetta and most of what's in it :C About the only thing I did like was the concept of her gun heels, and some of the effects :/

Rihanna likes to sing retarded songs with a lot of repetition, and Bruno Mars uses a pretty generic voice and is too preoccupied with love and weird obsessions. That's what makes those songs terrible, in my view. But Bayonetta's version of Fly Me to the Moon seems very decent, and whether it's bad or not is subjective. I thought it had a good melody, nice instrument work, and the person who sings it seems pretty good. No stupid lyrics, no idiotic voice, nothing. It's an annoying pop song? Well, remember: Fly Me to the Moon was the 1950s version of pop. Besides, there's nothing wrong with liking pop. I guess Robbie Williams would fall into that category, but he's made quite some nice songs, and so has Madonna. Queen, U2, etc. Even Take That has become bearable with songs like The Flood. Not so much nowadays, but pop really isn't inherently bad at all. Though I do understand that it's very much 'en vogue' to hate on popular music - especially modern music as opposed to 'superior, classic music'.

Well, I like some pop songs too (I grew up in the 80s and 90s :p), but this just fell into the category of an annoying one for me. I'm not saying all pop is annoying, just this one in particular is.

But please, don't assume things about my character just because I don't like this one :/ I don't do things because of them being 'en vogue' or not.

Well, it's used a lot because it's actually a rather good rendition. Of course, you don't have to like but whoever wrote the remix did a very good job of recreating the song without ruining it's essence. It's still romantic and is something I can see a couple dancing to.

However, I will say that it doesn't really fit well with the game. While the sharp snares, upbeat rhythms, female vocals, and "crazy" keyboard melodies are general themes in Bayonetta's music, the lyrics are off- setting. I mean, I don't want hear "I love you" while I'm beating the living daylights out of some angels.

TxA's dislike for the song is reasonable from a more negative view on the song's instrumental work. The snares are very distracting, the song doesn't really fit (like I said), and there's so much going on in the song it's hard to pay attention to which part you're supposed to be focused on.

But, like I said, it's pretty well done given that it includes all of the game's standards without just outright trashing the song into pieces.

By the way, if you don't like the Climax version, just listen to the Brenda Lee's version which was in the credits.

That's mostly it. I think the "climax" version lost a lot of the song's essence. The lyrics don't fit very well (like Rai said), and it honestly just got turned into a very shallow pop song. It just doesn't sound romantic to me anymore.

It's a lot like how I feel about most of the music in DMC3 and 4, it's very shallow, and the lyrics are mostly just a collection of canned "dark and gothic"-themed words.
